能认读、运用Merry Christmas!表达节日的问候。

了解英语国家中重要的节日,乐于接触外国文化,增强祖国意识。

二、教学重难点

1.教学重点:能认读、运用Merry Christmas!、We sing songs.等句型。

2.教学难点:能正确描述节日的风俗习惯。

教学CD、PPT、圣诞帽、小礼物、词条、卡片

四、教学过程

Step1: Preparation 1.Greetings. T:Hello boys and girls! Are you happy today? I am so happy because we’re going to learn something special today, before the class, let’s sing a song together, OK? 2.Warm up & drill : sing a song

T:What’s it about? Yes, it’s about the Chinese New Year! And we also call it “the Spring Festival”. In China, we are so happy at the Spring Festival,in western countries, they are happy on a special festival. Do you want to know it? Let’ s listen! Listen to T: What’s it about? Yes! It’s about the Christmas!

Step 2: Presentation 1.Part 1 Watch the CD of part 1 T: Let’s watch more about it!

What do you say at Christmas? We say : Merry Christmas! Teach Merry Christmas 2.Here’s your present! T: Who’s he? He’s Santa Clause! What’s that on his head?

As: A hat! T wears a Christmas cap, T: Hello boys and girls! I am Santa Clause! Merry Christmas! That boy is doing very good, here’s your present! Teach “Here’s your present”

3.Free talk T: Christmas is coming, you can see Santa Clause everywhere, and anything else? Here’s picture of Christmas, what can you see?

As: Christmas tree... Santa Clause... Christmas cap... Christmas presents... Christmas stockings... T: Do you want to know more about Christmas? Let’s watch a video. 4.Part 2 T: After the watching, we have more confirmations about Christmas, and now Christmas is coming, if today is the Christmas Day, what do you do at Christmas? Let’s watch a dialogue. As: sing songs... have a Christmas tree... give presents...eat lots of food...say Merry Christmas... Finish Task 3 on your paper and check answers together. T: what do you do at the Spring Festival?

Have a big family dinner... give lucky money... have peanuts and sweets...say Happy New Year... Finish Task 4 on your paper and check answers together.

Step 3 Practice 1.

Talk show T: Do you like the Spring Festival? Do you like the Christmas? Do you want to say something about it? Let’s have a talk show! 2.

Know more festivals. T: There’re many festivals in a year, different festivals has different meanings. Children’s Day is for you, our dear children, Mid-autumn Day

is for the families, Mother’s Day is for our moms, Father’s Day is for our Dads... Step 4 Homework Introduce Christmas to your parents. Choose one festival and make a poster.
