一、教材分析：

本单元主要语言功能是询问他人正在做什么，从而展开教学及会话活动。本课是本单元的其中一个重点，主要是询问一个群体正在做什么What are they doing?并作出回答They are doing…这一题材非常生活化，是学生感兴趣的话题之一。通过本课学习，要让学生用功能句来询问他人正在做什么，并要求学生运用现在进行时这一时态来描述人们正在进行的活动。

二、教学目标：

1.知识与技能目标：

（1）能听、说、读、理解词汇：kid ,Let’s, get on, lots of, interesting, thing, look at, people, park, lake, row, boat, men, chess, drink, hungry,Me too. （2）能正确表达动作词汇：do taijiquan，row a dragon boat,play chess.drink soya milk （3）能听懂并会运用本单元的重点句型“What are they doing?”“They are doing…”进行问答。

2.情感及文化目标：

1.激发学生听英语、说英语、用英语和他人进行交流的兴趣，敢于用英语进行表达，并能主动利用语言环境大胆实践。

2.鼓励学生根据所学知识询问和谈论他人正在发生的事情，在分组活动中能积极参与他人合作，互相帮助，增强学生的团结合作意识。

3.学会观察日常生活中的点滴。例如创设情境，观察公园里的人物、事物。

教学重点、难点

1.教学重点

（1）掌握本课所学新单词。如：people, park, lake, row, boat, men, chess.

（2）掌握动词短语。如：do taijiquan,row a dragon boat,play chess. （3）能理解、掌握和运用现在进行时问答“What are they doing?” “They are doing …”

2. 教学难点

（1）个别新单词的音和义。如：

soya milk, interesting, between. （2）掌握本单元的主要功能句型以及能够熟练运用。

教学过程:

Step 1: Warming up(热身) 1.Greetings. 2.Divide groups.将学生kids分成男生组和女生组比赛，同时向学生说明活动任务：比一比哪组下棋厉害。呈现本课所要学习新单词：chess ，Let’s play chess.以此展开本课的教学活动。

3.Say a chant. “I say do,You say doing”复习动词ing

4.Revision.

T:I like music,Do you like music?

S1,S2,S3,S4:I like music too.

T:You can say “Me too”.So Let’s listen to a nice music.OK?

S:OK.

(播放音乐音频）

T:What are you doing,kids?

S:I’m listening to music.

Step 2: Presentation(呈现)

1.lead-in: T: Look at the picture,What are the kids doing?There are three kids ,We can say “they”.

(揭示并板书本课教学课题：What are they doing?) S:They’re listening to music.

2.New learning: (1)情境创设活动

T: Today you’re so wonderful,so do you want to go out to play with Amy and Daming?

S:Yes. T:But we need a traffic,by bike/by car/by bus?

S:A bus. T:Yes,we have got lots of people,so we need a bus.

Look ,the bus is coming.Amy and Daming are waiting for us.Let’s get on the bus.

（2）设疑探知活动

T:And we can see lots of interesting things.师提问What’s the meaning of interesting ?

T:The bus is going,Are you ready? S:Yes

（3）新知学习活动

出示课件T:Look at the people in the park.What are they doing?（学生通过听录音，结合图片回答问题）

S:They’re doing taijiquan.

(师演示打太极拳，请部分学生模仿，然后向全班题问What are they doing?学生运有所学回答师问题，巩固短语doing taijiquan)

出示课件T:Look at the people in the lake.What are they doing?（Listen and answer）

S:They’re rowing a dragon boat.

(师生共同比划划船动作，练习短语rowing a dragon boat,在活动中学习巩固）

出示课件T:Look at the men between the big trees.(出示单词卡片学习新词men,between) 请学生自己提问What are they doing?（Listen and answer）

S:They’re playing chess.

(师揭示他们在下棋，我们的男生女生也在比赛下棋，同时运用所学让生举一反三问答

师提供帮助They’re doing taijiquan/rowing a dragon boat/playing chess/drinking soya milk这一系列的活动对于Amy这个英国的女孩来说是些是什么样是事情呢？

S：有趣的、好玩的。

2.Listen and repeat 3.Read in pairs（与同伴一起练习）

4.Role-play（分男女生角色扮演Amy and Daming)

5.Retell the story(根据图片的提示，复述课文，强化知识）

Step4.Consolidation(操练巩固活动）

1.Say a chant(用chant来辅助记忆，将课文的重点用歌谣的形式背诵，既易背，又有趣）

2.Do a exercise (看图片问答，练习本课目标语句What are they doing?，They’re.....）

3.Look act and say（比一比猜一猜活动）

Let’s play a guessing game. I want four boys and four girls,You’re doing actions, 男生做动作时女生ask “What are they doing?”男生根据四个男孩的动作回答问题，答对给予相应下一步棋的奖励，相反女生回答男生的问题，首先给学生做示范，在玩的过程中师给予提示。
