Learning about language 第一学时
Step one:
lead-in
Use one video which shows us many surprising accidents to lead the first key word amaze. Then add the important forms of amaze and the usage of them. In the end, do some exercise. Step two:
teaching of new words 1.
Show students a picture about a museum. Let students describe the picture and lead the key words rare and valuable. Explain them in the examples. 2.
Two phrases: in return and in return for. Explain the differences of the two patterns through some sentences 3.
Less than and more than . their meaning and usages 4.
Show another picture. Two girls are decorating a Christmas tree. Use a question “ what are they doing” to lead another word decorate and the patterns decorate... with...
5.
Use another picture to show the two phrases in search of and search for. Tell them the different usages of them. 6.
Show the last phrase belong to and the important usages of it. Step three: summary
Step four: exercise
Ask students to fill in the blanks with the words we have learned. Some words are given and they should use the correct forms of them to fill it. Step five: homework. Finish the exercise on the handout.
