Analysis of students:

Lacking in the knowledge of grammar rules, such as word formation、sentence structures, although students have practiced a lot about proofreading, they can’t do it well as expected. So, my solution is to help them to practice and discover the proper ways to proofread.

She said, “These were my rules. When a man says he want

to marry me, I will run against him. If he cannot run as fast as me, he will be killing. No one will be pardon.”

2. Sum up the rules of the mistakes in the passage by group work.

1. Invite students to read and correct the mistakes in the story of Atlanta (Part 3).

The race started and although the men ran very fast, Atlanta ran fastest. As Hippomenes watching, he thought, “How can I run as fast as Atlanta?”

He went to ask help from the Greek Goddess of Love. She promised to help him and gave him three golden apples. She said, “Throw an apple in front of Atlanta when she is running past and she will be relaxing. When she stops to pick them

up, you will be able to run past her and win.”

Hippomenes took the apple and went to a King. He said, “I want to marry to Atlanta.”

The King was sad to see another man die,but Hippomenes said determined, “I will marry her——and die!”

So the race began.

2. Sum up the steps of correcting a passage by group work .

Steps: 1). Go through the whole passage to get a general idea. 2). Read the passage sentence by sentence and find the mistakes.

3).Read the passage for the third time,check the answers and correct the difficult ones.

Tips:

动词形, 名词数, 还要注意形和副;

非谓语, 细辨别; 代词格, 细领悟;

介词短语需关注, 冠词连词常光顾。

Step 4 Consolidation

Correct the mistakes in the passage.

My father and I stayed at the South Lake Hotel for a week when we visit Beijing last month. It is in the downtown area, but it is easy to go to anywhere from the hotel by public transport. We lived in a comfortably double-room with a big bath. What I liked best were the free high-speed Internet connection in the room. I checked my email messages every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Beijing. The food was wonderful with reasonable prices, and we enjoyed several local dish. It is such great hotel that I would recommend it to any friend of me who is going to Beijing.
