一、设计思想

《英语课程标准》明确提出,义务教育阶段英语课程的总目标是:通过英语学习使学生形成初步的综合语言运用能力。学生通过英语课程掌握基本的英语语言知识,发展基本的英语听、说、读、写技能,初步形成用英语与他人交流的能力。

二、教学背景分析

(一)教材分析

本课是冀教版三年级下册第二单元中的一节故事课,本单元以认识动物园里的动物为主题,是在第一单元认识农场动物的基础上的拓展和延伸。本课以三个动物sheep, wolf, monkey为中心,讲述了一只善良的小羊救助一只狼反而遇险,聪明的猴子帮助小羊脱险的故事。这个小故事语言精炼,简单易学,符合三年级学生的认知水平,故事生动有趣,学生喜欢,并蕴含了寓意,使学生从故事中不仅学习到语言知识而且培养学生明辨是非,遇到问题要机智解决。

(二)学情分析

三年级学生在第一单元学习了农场里的动物,本单元又认识了动物园里的动物,主要学习了动物名称、动物住处、动物吃什么等词汇和语句,已经具备了一些用英语交流的能力,能简单描述图片内容。

三、教学目标

(一)知识与技能目标

1.学生能在图片和老师的引导下读懂故事。

(二)过程与方法目标

1.学生能根据上下文和图片猜测词义。

2.通过情景表演感知故事内容。

(三)情感态度与价值观目标

1.学生对角色扮演、故事表演感兴趣。

2.学生明白做善良的人,但不能轻信坏人,要学习猴子的机智勇敢,敢于同坏人做斗争。

五、教学过程

Step1: Class Opening

1. Warming up

T: Good morning boys and girls.

S: Good morning teacher.

T: Nice to see you.

S:Nice to see you, too.

T: How are you today?

S: I’m fine. / I’m well. / I’m good, and you?...

2. Review

T: We have learnt many animals.

Look at the animals on the farm.

Let’s sing an animal song, ok?

“Old Mac donald Had a Farm”

Do you remember? Let’s begin.

T: what animals can you see on the farm?

S: I can see a/an…

T: what animals can you see at the zoo?

S: I can see a/an panda, monkey, elephant, tiger, wolf, bear, sneak.

T: you are so good!

Step2: New Concept

T: Ok let’s guess: what’s this?

Its tail is long.

It eats bananas.

It lives in a tree.

D o you know what’s this?

S: It is a monkey.

T: Do you like monkey?

S:Yes…

T: Today we have a story about a clever monkey.

1.Guessing story (猜故事)

T: Look at the picture, what animals can you see? S: A wolf, a sheep.

T: where is the wolf?

the wolf is in a very big hole.

T: Does the sheep help the wolf?

S: Yes.

T: Now the wolf is out.

T: What does the wolf want to do?

S: Eat the sheep.

T: who comes to help?

S: The monkey.

T: Now the wolf is in the hole again, what will happen? (Will the sheep help the wolf this time?)

2.Listening story(听故事)

T: Let’s listen to the story and answer the question. Question1: How many animals are there in the story? Question2: What are they?

Question3: Who helped the wolf?

S1: There are three animals in the story.

S2: wolf, sheep, monkey.

S3: The wolf.

3.Telling story(讲故事)

Picture1:

One day, a wolf in a big hole sees the sheep.

Help help!Oh!It is a wolf.

Picture2:

Mr. Sheep! Please help me! Pull me out.

T: Does the sheep help the wolf?

S: No, because the wolf will eat the sheep.

T: What does the wolf say?

S: I will not eat you. You are a nice sheep.

T: What does the wolf want to do?

S: the wolf wants to eat the sheep.

T: Who helps the sheep?

S: the monkey.

T: the wolf jump into the hole.

Pull me out, Mr. sheep!

The monkey says: No! He is a bad wolf.

Oh. I see. Thank you. Mr. Monkey.

Last, the wolf say HELP in the hole, no one help him.

Exercise: Read and Number

T: Read 3 sentences, which is the No.1/No.2/No.3?

4.Read the story (读故事)

T: open your book and turn to page28.

(1)Read in groups

Four students in a group to read the story, you can be wolf, sheep, monkey or listener, let’s begin.

Student 1: wolf

Student 2: sheep

Student 3: monkey

Student 4: listener to ask question

Read the story and do the exercise “read and number”. Work in pairs and act out the story.

5. Act out the story (演故事)

Who want to be the wolf? Monkey? Sheep?

We need two or three groups.

In our book, the wolf is in the hole, then what happened? Maybe the sheep is very nice, it comes to help the wolf, they become good friends.
