Step1 Pre-reading 1. Learn new words and sentences (1) Enjoy a song – Old McDonald had a farm T: Let’s enjoy a song – Old McDonald had a farm Ss: Enjoy the song. T: Look. He is McDonald. He has a farm. He says “Welcome to my farm.”

Teach: Welcome to my farm/ T: Let’s go to his farm to see what on the farm. So today we are going to learn Unit 7 On the farm.

Teach new words T: The farm is divided into animal farm and fruit farm. First, let’s go to the animal farm. T: Listen and guess. What’s this? Ss: Pig. Teach: Pig. T: Look! What are these?

Ss: Pigs. Teach: word -- pigs

Sentences -- What are these? They’re ... (Same way to teach: word -- cow, cows

Sentences -- What are those? They’re... ) T: Now, let’s go to the fruit farm. Can you guess the fruit with the sentence --Are these ...?

Teach: word -- an apple, apples

Sentences: Are these ...? Yes./ No. They’re ... (Same way to teach: word -- a pear, pears

Sentences -- Are those ... ? Yes./ No. They’re ... ) 【设计意图：通过歌曲，在调动课堂气氛的同时，引入到本单元的主题farm。同时，设置参观农场，来学习本单元的单词及句型。】

2. Games – Lucky eggs Game1: Magic eyes T: When you see a word or a picture, please say it loudly. When you see McDonald, please say “Welcome!”

Ss: Play magic eyes to practice the new words and the sentence “Welcome!”

Game2: Happy train Order these words into a sentence. Sentence 1: Welcome to my farm.

Sentence 2: What are these? Sentence 3: Are those pears? Sentence 4: They are cows. Ss: Make the sentences.

Game 3: Let’s chant! Sample 1:

These, these, what are these? Oink, oink, they’re pigs. Those, those, what are those? Moo, moo, they’re cows. Sample 2: These, these, are these apples? No, no, they’re pears. Those, those, are those pears. Yes, yes, they’re pears. Make a new chant: (1)

Game 4: Let’s guess according to the shadow.

Game 5: Play chess in Fun time 【设计意图：以McDonald丰收，砸金蛋庆祝为背景，通过5个游戏活动巩固练习关于动物、水果的单词，句型What are these/ those? They’re ... Are these/ those ...? Yes./ No. They’re ... Welcome to ...。】

Step 2 While-reading

Watch and answer T: Look. Here is a chicken getting out from the egg. It goes to a farm. Whose farm is this? Who are on the farm? Let’s watch the cartoon and answer these two questions. Q 1: Whose farm is this? Ss: Liu Tao’s Grandpa.

Because he says “ Welcome to my farm.”

Q 2: Who are on the farm? Ss: Liu Tao and Mike. 【设计意图：以砸金蛋砸到一只小鸡，小鸡走到了另一个农场，自然而然的过渡至Story time的学习，首先通过看卡通片让学生对Story time有一个整体的感知。】

Listen and tick T: Please listen to the tape and try to find out what animals and fruit are there on the farm. Ss: Animals: pigs, cows

Fruit: apples, pears

Read and match T: Mike puts up 4 questions. What are the four questions and how do Liu Tao and his grandpa answer. Please read Story time by yourselves and try to match the sentence with the picture. 【设计意图：听录音找出文中出现的动物和水果，读课文找出Mike提出的4个问题及相应的回答，带领学生细致的梳理课文内容。】
