一.Teaching aims and demands 1. Aims on the knowledge

(1) To enable the Ss to understand the words and phrases,like learned Chinese, sang and danced, ate good food,took picture,climbed mountain etc. (2)To enable the students to communicate with others about holidays freely, by using the new sentence patterns“What did you do on the holiday? I …….”“Where did you go? I went to……”

(2)To make the students understand the meaning of the letter. 2. Aims on the abilities (1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.

(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups.

(3) To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and their innovation.

(4)To train the students’

abilities of using reading skills to find out the

information they need quickly.

3. Aims on the emotion

(1)To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.

(2) To lead Ss to enjoy their holiday and life.. 二.Teaching difficulties and important points 1.To enable the students to communicate with others about holiday freely, by using the new sentence patterns “What did you do on the holiday? I …….”“Where did you go? I went to……”

2.To train the students’ abilities of using reading skills to find out the information they need quickly. 三.Teaching aids In this lesson, CAI and a printed paper will be needed.

四.Teaching procedures Step1: Lead in

1.Greetings and show some pictures of mine,after watching them,ask some questions.

Where did i go?\ Where did you go?\How did you go there?\When did you go there? Step2: Presentation 1.Guessing game.

T: I went there on holidays. What did they do on the holidays?

Ask the Ss to look at the pictures and guess to revise the verb phrases they have

learned in Unit3. 2.Then teach the new words and phrases:sang\danced\ate\took pictures\climbed

mountain.Make the Ss tell like this:

Last weekend, I learned ________.

Last holiday, I took picture of _______.

Yesterday, I ate ____________.

Last weekend, I climbed _____________. 3.Make a conclusion: the verbs and the verbs in the past tense. Step3: Pre-reading 1.Help the Ss talk about their holidays in groups like this:

Last holiday, I went ______. I ___________ and _____________. I had fun. 2.Show John's letter. Listen and choose the right answer according to the question:

When will John come back?

Step4: While-reading 1.Ask the Ss to read the letter and draw happy face or sad face.

holiday. Step6: Enjoy Enjoy a song about holiday written by T herself. Enjoy a saying. Enjoy every day,pray your prayer with a grateful heart！

Step7: Homework Level A: 模仿并有感情有节奏地朗读短文 Level B: 把你的holiday分享给你的父母或者朋友
