Ⅰ.Teaching aim:

To devolop students’ ability to complete a reading by focus on key words and the main characters and the ability to write an ending of a story. Ⅱ. Teaching focus&teaching difficulty Teaching focus: To guide students to learn some pratical skills in terms of words and and the main characters and the ability to write an ending of a story.. Teaching difficulty To enable students to get the main idea of the reading through key words and the main characters and the ability to write an ending of a story.

Teaching methods: Inductive approach, Task-based Appraoch Ⅳ.Teaching aids: The multimedia, a handout and other normal teaching tools. Ⅴ.Teaching procedures:

Step 1. Pre-reading: Give some pictures about the main characters and 3 golden apples and ask students to guess the content to the the story of the book.

Step 2 While-reading: Task 1:Listening to the story by focusing on the key words and main characters, asking students underline the key words and main characters , and get the main idea of the story. Task 2: Reading the story again andfinsh Ex.1&2&3

Step 3 Post-reading Task 1: Retell the story Task 2: Write an ending of the story Step 4: Time for showing students’ words and make evaluation. Step5: Make a summary of the skills in this class. Step 6. Assignment.
