第一课时

教学内容分析：

本课选自《新标准英语》三年级起始三年级下册Module2 Unit2 That man is short.本单元主要学习运用恰当的形容词描述某人或某物的特征。将学习几对反义词：tall----short, big----small, fat----thin。

教学目标：

2. 通过学习，树立学生学习英语的自信心和团结合作的能力。

教学重点、难点 : 1.重点: （1）学习并掌握单词tall, short, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat （2）掌握句型 This/That …

is tall/ short/ big/ small. 2.难点：能够在日常生活中，正确运用句型

“This/That panda/monkey/man is…”来描述动物、人物的外貌。

教法与学法: 1.教法：情境法，游戏法，交际法。

2.学法：自主学习，合作学习，探究学习法。

教学准备：多媒体课件，课文视频，黑板，单词卡片，图片等。

教学过程: Step1.

Warming-up. Listen to the song of Activity 4 on page12. （营造欢快、有趣的学习氛围）

Greetings.师生互致问候。

（ppt显示）Know the learning aims and the learning ways知晓本节课的学习目标、学习方法。

Step2.

Revision Listen and chant ，then sing after the chant(M2U1 Activity 1 P8). Have the Ss say and read the words about animals by showing the word cards and some drawings：lion, tiger, elephant, panda etc.. “我会读”活动：跟读并齐读本课时的词语（后附单词的音标）man(男人) 、

short (矮的)、

tall (高的

) 、small

(小的) 、

big ( 大的) 、

fat( 胖的)、

thin(瘦的) 。

Step3.

Lead-in （用课件呈现踩高跷的图片）老师指图中的人提问：“

What’s this？”

学生可能答不出，师教授新单词“man”。

T: Is he tall? S: Yes!（配合动作教授tall，全班读，个别表演加读）

T: What happened then? 后面发生什么事情了？

（播放SB Unit 2活动1的动画视频，让学生认真地看2遍。）

S1：表演者掉下来了。

S2：表演者脱下了高跷...... T: Yes, and he becomes.... short!(配合动作教授short,全班读，个别读) S: …. T: Why(为什么) is the man short later(后来)？

T:（此处学生可以先用汉语回答）Because he takes off(脱下) his stilts. T: That’s right! Let’s read the sentences together!(齐读句子)

Step4.

Learn the texts. 1. Look ,who are they?(课件展示小丑画面）Let’s look at what they are doing. Go!(播放SB Unit 2活动2的动画视频) T: What are they doing? S:….(此处可用中文回答) T: Yes，they are playing with their monkeys. Now listen again and pay

attention to the monkeys.再看一遍，注意观看两只monkeys 的不同体型。

T: Look, the tall man’s monkey is ….(播放动画) S: ….(此处学生可能会用中文回答) T(展示图片)：Yes, it’s small and thin.(加上动作帮助学生理解) Read after me. Small-small-small(加上动作，帮助孩子们理解) S：The tiger/elephant/lion/panda is small. T: The monkey is not only small but also very thin(出示胖瘦对比照片，

It’s fat. It’s thin. Now read after me. Thin-thin-thin.

“th—”的发音方法是

T: Yes,(出示图片请学生说It’s small and thin)用同样方法教授big. T: Now let’s read the text after the recording together.(全班齐读，小组齐读）

Acting and using.(表演及应用) 活动规则：三同学一小组，其中两同学(高低、胖瘦、大小不同)站在前台，积极展示(一近一远)，第三个同学用新学的句型描述他们的外貌特征。其他同学认真听，并判断对错。如：look
