教学过程:

Step1、warm up

Greeting

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

Ss: Good morning, teacher.

Step2、Lead in

T: Let’s review some words about animals we learnt last lesson.

(1)T show the pictures about monkey, tiger, lion, elephant

(2)T and Ss make dialogues

T: What’s this?

Ss: It’s a/an…..

Step3 Learn the text

Look,who are they?(出示姚明图片)Ss can compare Yao Ming and his friend, then Ss say their differences.

S:….(此处可用中文回答)

T: Yes. (Yao Ming) This man is tall.

(His friend) That man is short.

(teach words tall and short)

T(出示图片)Using the same way to teach big, small, fat, thin.

T: Now let’s read the text together.(全班齐读,小组读, 小组PK)

Step 4 Practice.

1.Describe pictures

T show some pictures. T and Ss describe the pictures together. Then Ss describe their own pictures.

2.Listen to a sing (two tigers)

Play two tigers. T sing (He is short), give an example. Ss sing after T. At last Ss sing by themselves.

3.Role play

Ss using their way what they like to describe these words (short, tall, small, big, fat, thin)
