一、教材分析:

本节课是新目标英语(Go for it)八年级下册第7单元Section A的第二课时。在本单元中是一个基础听说课，为Section A基本目标语言的综合部分奠定了基础，起着承上启下的作用。它穿插了对话、听力任务，教学生运用一般将来时畅想几十年以后或将来的生活。

二、教学目标：

1. 知识目标：

词汇：future, prediction, earth, environment, less, fewer, pollution等。

句型：A: What’s your prediction about the future? (/What will the future be like?) B: There will be more/less/ fewer…

语法：more/less与more/fewer修饰名词时的使用区别。

2. 能力目标：培养学生从听力中获取信息的能力，提高他们的阅读水平和写作技巧。

3. 情感目标：让学生爱上英语课堂活动,关注环境问题，乐于畅想未来生活。

三、教学重难点：

掌握目标词汇，学习more/less与more/fewer修饰名词时的使用区别。

四、教学过程：

Step 1.Warming-up & Lead-in 1.

Free talk and greetings. 2.

Enjoy a video about the future. 3.

Revision: What will the future be like? (show some pictures and key words: people, cars, money, water…) 4.

Lead-in: T: he Just now, we made some good predictions about the future, but in fact, our environment is getting worse. (teach new words: earth, environment) Step 2. Presentation 1.

(show a picture)T: Will there be more trees? Elicit, Ss: No, there won’t. There will be fewer trees.(teach: fewer) 2.

Talk about the picture in 2a. T: We can see five people in the picture. Where are they? Who are they? What are they talking about? (引导看图上的飞船、星球等，引出future) 2.

Listen and circle 2a & Check answers one by one. 3.

Listen again and check 2b & check answers. 4.

Follow the tape.(如果Ss有疑问，暂停磁带，再听。) 5.

Fill in the blanks.自制挖空练习，核对答案后，Ss齐读。
