一、教材分析：

本节课是八年级上学期Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Section A 的第二课时，本单元要求学生能够谈论喜好和制定计划。本节课进一步帮助学生练习目标语，并通过语法练习巩固本单元重点句型。通过本节课的学习，学生能在实际的教学情景中运用学过的短语和句型与他人谈论个人喜好，并针对不同的节目表达自己的看法。

二、教学目标：

能够正确使用词汇：discussion, happen, expect, joke, comedy. 2.

能够运用Do you want to watch a ...? What do you think of ...?等句型。

3.

能够表达个人喜好，并制定计划。

三、教学重难点

教学重点：运用目标语进行口语交际。

教学难点：提高学生的口语表达能力和正确的价值观念。

五、学情分析

学生正处于八年级，已经有一定的英语基础，通过第五单元第一课时的学习，学生对不同节目的名称，及表达句型也已经有一定的了解，所以本节课内容对学生来说比较简单。

六、教学过程

Step 1

Lead-in

T: show the pictures of different TV shows.

Ask Ss to talk about the shows with the given questions. T: express likes and dislikes . T: Ask Ss to talk about their likes and dislikes. Step 2

Pairwork 1.

Ss skim the conversation and answer the questions. (1). What does Grace think of soap operas? (2). Does Grace like sports shows? (3). What kind of TV shows does Sarah like? (4.) What does Sarah hope to be in the future? 2.

Ss read the conversation in pairs. 3.

Ss pick out the key words and phrases

Ss do some exercises to practice the new words

happen：

“发生”，一般指偶然发生，其主语通常是事。

sth happen to sb. 某人发生了某事

翻译：昨天他哥哥发生了一起交通事故。

A traffic accident happened to his elder brother yesterday.

“碰巧”，此时主语是人，

sb happen to do sth. 某人碰巧做某事
