教材分析

本节课是第三单元第十八课，第三单元的主题是“A Travel Plan”.旅行这一单元主题与学生的生活联系紧密，学生比较感兴趣。这节故事课是两只蜜蜂Billy Bee 和Benny Bee 为帮助患病的蜂王，长途跋涉，历尽千辛万苦去找特别多蜂蜜，而进行的一次长途旅行。紧扣第三单元的主题。

学情分析

五年级的学生经过三、四年级的学习，英语的词汇，句型以及口语均有了一定的基础与提高。学生们经过整个第三单元的学习，对本节课的内容有了一定的基础。

Step 1 class opening 1.

Greeting T: Good morning boys and girls S: Good morning teacher 2.

Lead in T: Do you have a friend? S: Yes. T: Who is your friend? S: ... Is my friend.

T: I have a friend,too. Do you want to know him? S: Yes. Step 2 pre-reading T: Now allow me introduce my friend. Look this is a bee. His name is Billy. Let’s say hello to Billy. Do you want to be good friends with him? S: Yes. Step 3 while-reading (Teacher show picture 1) T: Look! What can you see in this picture? S: I can see the queen bee and Billy Bee. T: Good! Now let’s listen and read after the tape. I have some questions for you. Later let’s answer the questions. (1)

Is it far from here? (After listening, students answer the questions. ) T: The queen bee is very sick. She need some help. Who can help her?

S: He invite Benny Bee to go with him. T: Do you know how far is it from here to the Honey Flower City? Now let’s look at picture 3 How far is it? S: It’s about 20 kilometres. T: It’s very far. They need to bring the honey back before 2:00 in the afternoon.Time is running out for them. If they don’t come back in time, what will happen? S: The queen will die. T:They must be quick. Now let’s read picture 4 and picture 5 silently and find out the sentences true or false. (1)

They fly for fifteen minutes. (2)

S: The queen bee eats the special honey and feels better. T: Are you happy? S: Yes. T: Billy Bee and Benny Bee are happy, too. They are kind and great.
