教材分析:

本课以两个人物的对话,展开以Australia 为主题的讨论,内容包括澳

大利亚的位置,首都,国旗,语言,美丽的海滩,特有的动物等。

学情分析:

五年级的学生具有了一定的英语学习能力,经过本单元前几课的学习,已经了解了

China,和其他三个英语国家的相关知识,掌握了本单元的重点词汇和句型,因此这一

课的内容可以指导学生网络环境下利用网站资源自主学习。

教学目标:

1、知识与技能:学生掌握词汇Australia,了解澳大利亚的相关知识,并能够运用所学语言进行相关内容的交流。

2、过程与方法:学生主要利用教师提供的资源进行自学和与教师和学生进行交流,通过这个过程提高学生的英语学习能力。

3、情感态度与价值观:了解澳大利亚相关知识,激发学生对异国风情的求知欲,使学生开拓视野,放眼世界。

教学重点:

了解澳大利亚的相关知识,运用所学语言与他人进行相关内容的交流。

教学难点:

综合运用所学语言与他人进行相关内容的交流。

教学过程:

Step 1: Greeting图片动物或复习国家

Step 2: Presentation T: First, Let’s play a guessing game. What animal is it? It has a long ear . It has a long tail. It can jump. It has a pocket.

S: It’s a kangaroo.

T: Where does kangaroos live? S: They live in Australia. T: This lesson, Let’s talk about Australia together.(Australia领读,学生读三遍)

T: Here are four pictures, look here,

(边贴澳大利亚地图边说) Picture 1, a map of Australia.

(边贴Canberra边说) Picture 2,

Canberra is the capital city of

Australia. (边贴English单词边说)Picture 3 , language (边贴国旗边说) Picture 4, Australia’s flag.

整体感知四幅图片,教师带领学生回顾四幅图片的内容

T: Boys and girls, we will have a game. Before that, read part one loudly by yourselves. T: Now, boys and girls, let’s begin our game, I will ask a question, if you have the picture of the question, stand up quickly and describe this picture.

T : Where is the map?

S : Here. This is a map of Australia . T : Where is Canberra? S: Here. Canberra is the capital city of Australia. (大屏幕出现首都和句子,学生读,老师板书。) T : Where is English?

S : Here. They speak English in Australia. T : Where is Australia’s flag? S : Here. Australia’s flag is blue. T : This is Australia’s flag, do you see a little flag?动画演示

S : Yes T : It’s the ___flag. Let’s put it inside Australia’s flag.大屏幕动画演示,出示句子

Do you see a little flag inside Australia’s flag?用多种方式朗读Do you see…? (计时读比赛)I will ask five girls to read this sentence one by one. I will ask five boys to read this sentence one by one. Which team costs the less time, They will got one point. T : I bring another beautiful picture, Look, this is a beautiful beach. Australia has many beautiful beaches. (大屏幕出示沙滩图片,边读句子边板书beautiful beaches。) Step 3 Practice

1 T: We have known Australia, Listen to the tape again(听两遍第一遍不出文字,跟读一遍), complete the dialogue, then ask and answer.

2 T: This lesson we know about Australia, we see beautiful beaches. 强调读音

ea pronounce /i:/, can you read these words? 引入part 4. 3 Let’s know more about Australia. 4 We learned five countries, what is your favourite country? What do you know about this country?

5 T:Different countries has different famous places. This is____ in the____. These pictures are interesting, I want to see them. Let’s go and see. Stand up, let’s chant together.
