一、教学目标：

三、教学步骤

I. Revision

1. 复习上节课所学短语。

2. 复习表达请求与应答请求。

3. 复习一些常用的委婉地表达拒绝的方式。

II. Warming up＆new words teaching

Show students a calendar. Ask questions like this: 1)What’s this?

2) How many days are there in a week?

What are they?

3) What do you usually do on weekdays?

4) What do you usually do on weekends? III. Pair work

T: What was/is the date yesterday/the day before yesterday/ today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: 13th/14th/15th…. Let the students ask these questions one by one.

IV. Work on 1a and 1b . Ask students to write the dates for this week on the calendar and then check . Ask students to write the words (today, tomorrow, yesterday…)below the correct dates

on the calendar and then check like this:

S: It’s Tuesday the 18th.

T: What was yesterday? S: It was …

T: What’s tomorrow?

V. Work on 1c 1.Explanation What’s today?

What’s today?意思是“今天几号，星期几？”。如：

—It’s Saturday the 2nd.

2.【链接】What’s the day today? / What day is it today?意为“今天星期几？”；What’s the date today? / What date is it today?

意为“今天几月几号？/ 今天几号？”。

并做相关链接考题。

2.Game time (Who can be the first to answer my question?). Show some different dates on the screen. Ask s and answer questions about the days.

VI. Listening

Work on 1d: 1. Tell Ss to listen to Vince and Andy’s conversation. Then circle Yes or No.

2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time.

3. Play the recording again and check the answers with the Ss.

T: Can Vince play tennis with Andy?

S: No. T: Yes, good job .But why not? Let’s listen to the recording carefully and try to match Vince’s activities with the days.

Work on 1e:

1. Tell Ss they'll listen to the tape again. Then try to match Vince’s activities with the days in 1d.

2. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.

Read the conversation following the recorder then work in pairs. One is Andy and the other is Vince. Andy, invite Vince to play tennis.

Ask Ss to practice the conversations in pairs.

Work in pairs. Ask students to make his own calendar. Then, One student ask the other to do something with him/her., such as going shopping, going to the movies, playing basketball, going to the concert…the other student answer according to his /her own calendar.

Ask Ss to practice the conversations in pairs like this:
