This lesson is the fourth period of Unit 8.It’s a reading passage Which focused on the topic of cooking. In this class , Students mainly learned an article about Thanksgiving. The main task for students is to talk about the story of the first Thanksgiving and learn how to describe a process by using first, next, then and finally . 二、教学目标（知识与能力，情感态度与价值观）

knowledge objects: 1.Enable the students to master the following new words : traditional, traveller, celebrate ,mix and so on. 2. The students can master the process of making turkey. Ability objects: 1.Be able to skim for the main idea of the article and scan for the specific information. 2.Get a deep understanding through retelling and discussing. Emotional objects: 1.
