Teaching analysis (一) Analysis of teaching material The main topic of Unit 4 is “the usage of the comparative and superlative form of adjectives and adverbs”. In this unit, the main language point is making comparisons. The students will learn to discuss preferences. In this lesson, the main grammar is comparative and superlative form of adjectives and adverbs . It is an important language point in Grade 8. I will lead the students to learn it by comparing. If the students grasp it, it is very useful to the future studying. Otherwise, this topic is related to their daily life. So it can raise their learning interests and improve their spoken English. (二) Analysis of students Most students have learned the English for five years. In Grade 7, they learned the positive degree of adjectives and adverbs . They can not only use it to describe the daily life activities, but also grasp the phrases in daily life. So it’s not difficult for them to understand the language point. But some students are not active in class because they are afraid of making mistakes. The teacher should stimulate their learning interesting, and encourage them to open their mouths. (三) Analysis of teaching environment The multimedia has applied to our school teaching. The teacher can use it in the daily teaching jobs. It can not only help the students learn the language points in a visual way, but also can stimulate the learning interesting. But in the countryside middle school, we don’t have the English environment to let our students practice English after class, so our

students don’t often use English to communicate with others. 二.
