Step 1. 热身、复习(warm-up /Revision)

1、学生齐背chant: The family in our house

2、通过对话的方式,提问上节课所学重点词汇,句型:

How many people in your family?

What color is your father’s hair?

Is your father fat?

What does your father look like?

Step2.1. New words.

Let students learn the new word ‘teacher’ through looking at the picture in ppt. Meanwhile, the teacher presents one sentence structure in the process of learning the new words.

T: Do you know what does he do?

S; Yes, he is a teacher.

The same way as learning such words as doctor, hospital, nurse, worker

2. The presentation of the second sentence structure: Where do/does sb. work?

T: Where does the teacher work?

S: The teacher works at school.

3. The presentation of the third sentence structure: How do/does sb. go to work?

T; Can you guess how do I go to work?

S: Take the bus? By bike?......

Present phrases about traffic tool: Walk to work, drive to work, by bus/ by bike.

Step 3. Practice.

1. Students make a small dialogue about asking their parents’ work by means of using the new words and sentence structure. Including the following topics:

(1)What does your father do?

(2)Where does he work?

(3)How does he go to work?

2. To choose students to present their dialogue in front of the class.

Step 4. Reading.

1. let students listen and read the dialogue on page 6.

2. Answer the following the questions:

(1).Li Ming’s father is a teacher.

(2).li Ming’s mother is a nurse

(3).Li Ming’s parents go to work by bus.

(4). Li Ming’s father and uncle Zhiwei work to work.

(5). Li Ming’s mother and aunt Wanrong work at a hospital.

(6). Li Ming’s father walks to school.

Step 5. Homework.

1.熟读课文。

2.背会本课的单词和句型。
