Textbook Analysis:

It’s a listening and speaking class. This class is from Grade eight II, PEP version. In this unit, students are going to talk about problems in their life and try to give advice. This class is the fourth period of this unit. From former lesson, Ss have already known some problems in their life. This class will show Ss’ problems of different people and let them give advice to them.

Student Analysis:

Ss at this age are going through a difficult time. They are sensitive and tender. Meanwhile, they have many problems in their lives, such as study, relationship with others and so on. After learning this class, Ss will be able to give advice to different people to help them. They will also get to know difficulties of different people, which will help them think of others.

Ability aims: Ss will be able to list different kinds of problems in their life through brainstorming. After analyzing messages, Ss will be able to give proper advice to others. Emotional aims: After analyzing all the cases, Ss will be able to think of others, and set up positive attitude towards life. Important points: Ss will be able to analyze problems in different people’s life and try to give some advice to them.

Difficult points: Ss will be able to give advice to different people to help them. Ss will be able to write a letter to their parents to express their feelings.
