II. Warming up The teacher shows a calendar of this week on the PPT and asks Ss T:What day is it today? S: It’s Monday. T: What’s the date today? S: It’s December 23rd.... The teacher teaches the words and phrases: tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, yesterday, the day before yesterday, weekday, weekend. Purpose:Students be able to get interested in today’s lesson. III. Pair work

S1: What day was/is today/ yesterday/the day before yesterday/ today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

VI. Listening

Work on 1d: 1. Tell Ss to listen to Vince and Andy’s conversation. Then circle Yes or No.

2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and circle.

3. Play the recording and check the answers with the Ss. Purpose: students be able to get a hold of the conversation and catch the answer.

Work on 1e:

1. Tell Ss they'll listen to the tape again. Then try to match Vince’s activities with the days in 1d.

2. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to match Vince’s activities with the

3. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.
