Step 1.Work on 2d.

T: 1 Ask Ss to look at the conversations in 2d and answer the questions..

(1) Who are they? What are Grace and Sarah talking about? (2.) What kind of TV shows do Sarah’s classmates like?

(3).What does Grace think of game shows and sports shows? (4). What does Grace think of soap operas?

What does Sarah think of them?

(5)What are Sarah’s favorite TV shows?

Why does she like them? What does Grace think of them?

Ss: Ss read the conversations after the recording. Then practice conversation again with partners. 设计意图：着重训练学生看图说话和分角色表演对话的能力，让学生能把学到的语言知识有效输出。

Step 2 Grammar focus

1.Explain the usage of theirs 设计意图：通过训练强化语法学习，突出

want to, expect to, hope to, plan to,等动词短语的用法。

Step 3 3a and 3b
