1a-1f部分通过听说活动拓展单元话题，巩固目标语言的运用。活动1a要求写出了一周对应的日期，活动1b复习关于时间的词汇，拓展了weekday，tomorrow，the day after tomorrow等新词汇。

活动1c借用1a和1b的信息操练对日期提问的句型What’s today? It’s...活动1d-1e是结合日期等相关信息进行的听力检测。活动1f是听力的延续，让学生将听到的信息用角色扮演的方式进行语言输出。
