教材分析

本科选自《新标准英语》三年级起三年级下册Module 2 Unit2 That man is short.. 本单元主要学习运用恰当的形容词描述人或动物的体态特征。

教学目标

1. 运用词汇tall, short, big, small, fat, thin. 2. 运用句型This / That …is tall, short, big, small, fat, thin.来描述人或动物的体态特征。

3. 培养学生爱护小动物的美好品质。

4. 树立学生学习英语的自信心和团结合作的能力。

Step1 warm-up 1.师生问好.

2.师展示上节课所学的四种小动物并提问

What’s this ? What are they?

生答--It’s…./They are…. 3.Say the animals chant and do the actions. Monkey，monkey尾巴长

Elephant，elephant 鼻子长

Lion ,lion吼声响

Tiger ,tiger是霸王

Step 2 lead in

1. Now let’s look at the pictures, what’s the difference? （PPT出示三组高矮、胖瘦、大小图片。（学生通过观察每组图片的特点引出三组反义单词tall--short, big--small, fat--thin，教授并书写,进而巩固字母的读音与书写）

2. 通过整体教读，师生对读，男女生唱反调读，学生齐读的方式进行巩固练习，并说明这些词是用来描写人或动物的体态特征的。

Step 3 present Now, let’s follow Daming and Sam to find out some people and animals’ different features. 1. 看两段动画，了解课文大意。

2. Look at the pictures, what are the features of the man and the monkeys? 学习句型This / That …is tall, short, big, small, fat, thin.(了解生词man) 明示课文标题。

3. 再次看动画，模仿语音语调。

4. 学生分组自读并模仿角色,教师给与评价和表扬。

Big and fat, big and fat. That monkey is big and fat. Step 5 Small test 展示三张对比图片，学生通过自己对人物或动物体态特症的了解来填空。(进一步巩固三对反义词) 1. This boy is _____.

Step 6 Find a home for the animals. Ok, my boys and girls, do you love animals? – Ss :Yes.

Now let’s find a home for the stray animals. 教室里散落着许多可怜的小动物，师生一起帮助小动物安一个家（左右两边的家构成反义词，安置每对动物时需说出小动物的特征是否符合进这个家要求，然后才让小动物的应该进这个家。进而巩固练习了This / That …is tall, short, big, small, fat, thin. Step 7 Homework
