Step 1 Lead-in （导入）

1. Ask Ss some questions:

T: What day is today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: It’s Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.

2. Then sing a song like the song of ABC. Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/ Friday/Saturday/

3. T: What was/is the date yesterday/the day before yesterday/ today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: 13th/14th/15th…. Let the students ask these questions one by one.

He didn’t feel happy over the past few days, and we thought a party would help cheer him up (使他振奋). We invited some of his good friends to our home. My sister and I planned many parties before, so we had lots of party decorations — streamers (彩纸条）and balloons. My dad’s birthday was on Saturday. My parents went to visit my grandpa in the afternoon. Then we started to prepare for the party. My sister cooked well, so she was in charge of (负责) the food. And I was in charge of decorating the room. I blew up the balloons and decorated the chairs with streamers. Then I put some fresh flowers we bought on the table. The guests came one by one. We asked them to stay in the room with the lights out. About half an hour later, my parents came back. When Dad walked in, I turned the lights on. The guests had a great time visiting and Dad enjoyed his evening. My sister and I also had much fun.
