教材内容：

本节课是第4单元的第四课时，是一节阅读课。要求学生运用阅读策略提取重要信息。与以往阅读策略不同的是，本篇渗透了构建思维工具的阅读策略培养，帮助学生将抽象的零碎信息整理成与主题密切相关、又相对独立的块状知识。这不仅又助于学生深入理解语篇，抓住重要信息，而且能够增强学生的思维能力、提升注意力与记忆力、启发联想力和创造力。

学情分析：

在此节课之前，学生的知识储备已很充分。此篇文章运用形容词的最高级描述才艺表演的活动，这个年龄阶段的学生正处于情感的成长期，学生对此话题会更感兴趣，并且教师还能借此篇文章正确引导学生的价值观。本篇的难点是词汇量大，篇幅长。对此预设的解决办法是通过多媒体图片及思维图示作为语篇的理解铺垫，通过朗读活动扫清语音障碍并进一步加强对语篇的理解。

1. Warm-up and Lead-in

(1) Daily greetings to the students (2) Introduction of myself and my favorite actor. 

2. Pre-reading

Show pictures about the popular actresses and ask students who is their favorite actress. (2)

Ask students what they know about “talent show” and the names of the shows. (3)

Ask students what they think of the shows. (4)

Read the text quickly and match the paragraphs with the main idea. 设计目的：不仅能吸引学生的注意力，又可节约时间。

While-reading (1)Read the whole passage carefully and get ready to answer the questions. (2)Ask Ss to check the answers. (3)Read after the tape recording, pay attention to the pronunciation of some words.Repeat if necessary.

(4)Read the whole passage together.

设计目的：让学生加强略读的能力，并提高阅读速度，借助思维图示加强对语篇的理解，为下一个环节复述做铺垫。



4. Post-reading (1)

Retell the content of the passage with key words and the mind tools. (2)

Ask several Ss to show. 设计目的：再次复现课文内容并进一步加强本节课语言输出。


