本课为外研社英语三起六上M4U1 Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.本单元的话题是谈论自己喜爱的中外节日。本课的课文情境是Simon 告诉Daming 明天是美国国旗制定纪念日,这一天人们会挂国旗、唱歌。Daming 请Simon 再介绍一些美国的节日,Simon说他最喜欢的节日是感恩节,这一天人们会相互表达谢意,一家人享用感恩节大餐,然后一起看一场橄榄球比赛。课文充分展示了Daming 对已过文化的好奇心以及求知欲望。通过学习使学生能够用一般现在时来表达节日的习俗,同时,巩固人称代词和物主代词及行为动词的一般现在时的用法。
本课的学习重点是学会运用

for ...等语句。虽然学生是初次对节日的习俗进行深入的探讨,但是,在这之前的学习中学生已经充分理解和运用过一般现在时的句型,同时在四年级教材中学生已对Spring festival and Christmas 进行了简单的描述,所以理解起来并不难,主要是通过这种句型来接触和学习一些新词汇并加以运用,同时,通过学习帮助学生复习和归纳be动词“is/are”及行为动词一般现在时的用法。同时,鼓励学生对人称代词及物主代词进行归纳。相信学生能够通过读和说等活动很好地完成本课的学习任务。从而,能够在本模块学习结束后用英语详细介绍圣诞节的习俗。
