A teaching plan for writing a passage (writing)

Teaching aims :(The aims for the knowledge)

1. Revise the following phases and sentences

take the bus( train, subway)= by bus( train, subway)

Train students to choose the right transport tools according

to the real situation. So that on the one hand they can save the money and the time, and on the other hand they can do more

things and improve their speed for doing things. Teaching contents:

Write a passage about how sb do(does) sth by sth. , how long it takes sb to do sth., how far it is from one place to another pl- ace and how sb feel(s). Teaching focus:

Write a passage with the language points of unit3. Teaching difficulties:

The students will write more Chinese-English styles because of the

different culture between two countries. Teaching ways: 1.

Revise transport tools ,the expressions of taking transport

tools ,expressing the distance ,the sentences about how to do sth and how long it takes sb to do sth. 2.

Read others’

passages and feel how others write passages with the language points of unit 3. 3.

In the end write their own passages with the teacher’s help. Teaching steps:(7)

Step 1.

Lead-in (By a picture)

T: Good afternoon, class. S: Good afternoon, Miss Wang.

T: Sit down, please. Now let’s look at a picture.

Step 2. Revision 1.

Transport tools . T: This is a beautiful place .Do you want to go and live here? How do you get here? S: Yes. I take a bus here. S: Yes. I take a subway here. S: Yes. I take a train here.

S:…. T: OK. Today let’s write a passage about transport tools and how to get to some places. First, let’s revise some transport tools. Look at the pictures. ( The teacher asks some students to answer the picture). 2.

Phrases

1) T: Look at the picture and answer the picture.

S: take the train/ by train.

S: take the subway/ by subway. (….)

2) Check the students’ homework.( on the teaching guide paper) T: Please take out your paper and look at the teacher’s answer, then check your answers in pair, at last read your right answers. 3.

Sentences( Students read it and understand them)

T: Check your answers according to the teacher’s answer, then remember your sentences that you haven’t done well. Step 3. Warming up before writing 1.

Read a passage , find its main sentences and the ending sentences. T: Read and find its main(主要的) sentence (句子) and the ending Sentence.( 结束句)

S: I want to tell you about me. ( the main sentence) S: The bus ride is never boring because I always talk to my classmates.(the ending sentence) 2.

Put it into Chinese.(Teacher says: 把它翻译成汉语)

Look at the information and think about how to write. (If necessary , the teacher gives their help.) T: Read again and see how the writer write a passage. Step 4. Sum up

How to write a passage.

T: After you read other’s passage, now can you tell me how do you write a passage?

S: The main sentence + 正文+ The ending sentence.

T: You’re very right. (If the student can’t answer, gives their help) Step 5. Learning

Look at the picture and think about it for a minute. Read it and try to learn it. When your read it , if you have some problems , you can discuss

them each other. Step 6

Writing

Now you can write your own passage by learning and revising. Look at you paper or the picture, please write the passage. Step 7. Showing and guiding

Show the students’ work and give them advice. Step 8

Homework 1.

Find out your own questions and problems, then answer and

solve them. 2.

Read your passage and perfect it, then hand it tomorrow.

教学反思：学生对于交通工具以及乘坐交通工具基本掌握，但对于乘坐交通工具到某地和离某地有多远以及到某地所花时间句型不是掌握得很好，加上学生学习知识不够专注，又不加分析，导致句子表达不够完整。这个问题我相信随着知识的不断增长和复习巩固，一定会解决。部分优生还是完成得不错。
