1. Teaching aims

Knowledge aims:

(1)Vocabulary:

expert, keep…to oneself, teenager, normal, unless, certainly, wallet, worried, angry, in the end, understanding, careless, mistake, himself, careful, advise, solve, step, trust, experience, in half, halfway

(2)Sentences: ①Unless we talk to someone, we’ll certainly feel worse.

②She just kept thinking, “If I tell my parents,…”

③They got her a new wallet and asked her to be more careful. ④Robert Hunt advises students about common problems. Ability aims: Students could understand the language points and master some reading strategies. Emotional

aims: Students should face their problems, especially the bad hobbies like playing computer games too much. If they have any problems, they'd better talk to others to deal with them. 2 .Important and difficult points:

Students could use the language points and reading strategies correctly. (e.g.skimming: to get the main idea.）

Students could write down a passage about their own problems and how to deal with them. 3. Learning strategies: 借助图片等情境设置，使用自学、合作、任务等多种方式引领学生学习，体现其主体地位。

4. Culture: 初步了解中西方青少年生活中常见问题，探讨如何解决问题维护其心理健康，理解父母是最值得相信和乐于帮助他们的人。

Teaching procedures: Step1 Lead-in Show a picture of someone who plays computer games too much.(引出“问题”话题,引入本节课的主题如何解决)

Step2 Before Reading T: If you have this problem, how do you deal with them?

Do you get advice from your parents, friends or an expert? S: well, I don't talk to others. T: Oh, you just keep it to yourself, right? New words: expert, keep…to oneself

Fast reading:
