一、教学目标：

1. 语言知识目标：

三、教学步骤

I.Warming up

Play a song for the students to relax. II. Revision and new words 1. Review the phrases

2. Review how to ask and answer questions politely.

3. New words:

the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow, weekday, look

after III. Lead in

1. Show a calendar to the Ss, then let them answer some questions.

T: How many months are there in a year? / How many days are there in a week? S: There are 12momnths in a year and seven days in a week. T: can you say the months and days in English? Let’s learn together.

The teacher will play the song of days of a week. Students can learn the days following the video. 2. T: What day is/was today/yesterday/the day before yesterday? S: It’s Friday.

………

T: What was/is the date yesterday/the day before yesterday/ today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?

S: 13th/14th/15th…. Let the students ask these questions one by one.

IV. Work on 1a and 1b. V. Work on 1c Explanation What’s today?

What’s today?意思是“今天几号，星期几？”。如：

—What’s today?

—It’s Saturday the 2nd.

VI. Listening

Work on 1d: 1. Tell Ss to listen to Vince and Andy’s conversation. Then circle Yes or No.

2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and circle.

3. Play the recording and check the answers with the Ss.

Work on 1e:

1. Tell Ss they'll listen to the tape again. Then try to match Vince’s activities with the days in 1d.

2. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to match Vince’s activities with the days.

3. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.

VII. Pair work

1. Work in pairs. One is Andy and the other is Vince. Andy, invite Vince to play tennis.

Ask Ss to practice the conversations in pairs.

Homework:

To master the words and phrases. To master how to ask dates and days.
