二、可数名词与不可数名词

1. 可数名词：可数名词有单数、复数之分。其复数形式一般要加-s或-es。如：

potato—_______; tomato—__________

2. 不可数名词没有复数形式，只有单数形式。如：

some ______ (米饭)；a lot of _____ (牛肉) (1) 不可数名词表示数量的多少时，必须与表示数量的名词连用，即“数词+表示数量的名词（可数名词）+ of + 不可数名词”，如：

两玻璃杯果汁_____ ______ of juice 三碗米饭_____ ______ of rice (2) 不可数名词做主语时，谓语动词只能用单数形式。例如：

在碗里有一些羊肉汤。There _____ _____ mutton soup in the bowl.

【拓展】如果不可数名词前有复数名词短语修饰时，谓语动词须用复数形式。如：房间里有两袋子大米。

请问您可以点菜了吗？ 1) 本句为餐馆里服务员常用语。order此处作可数名词，意为“点菜，订购”。

order也可作动词，意为“点菜；预订”。

例： Would you like to order some bread? 你想不想来些面包？

2) 同义句：May I have your order?

四. We’d like one bowl of beef soup. 我们想要一碗牛肉汤。

bowl可数名词，意为“碗”；a bowl of意为“一碗...”，其后通常接不可数名词，强调容量而不是数量；表示复数概念时，直接把bowl变为复数即可。

例：

Mary only drinks a bowl of milk for dinner. 玛丽晚餐只喝了一碗牛奶。

例： There are two bowls of rice on the table. 桌子上有两碗米饭。

五. What size would you like? 你们要多大碗的？

What size...?是用来询问物体的大小、尺寸的常用句型。size是名词，意为 “大小；尺码”，既可表示物体的大小，又可表示服装、鞋帽等的尺码、号码。

例： What size is your school? 你的学校多大？

六. We’d also like gongbao chicken and some mapo tofu with rice.
