Step1:Greeting and free talk Step 2.Pre-listening

Use a calendar to get the Ss to learn the new words like the day before yesterday, the day after tomorrow Then go over the days of a week by asking and answering some questions And point out the new words “weekday” and “weekend”

Next use the calendar to ask and answer：

1. — What day is it today?

2. — What day is it tomorrow?

It’s Saturday.

3. — What day is it the day after tomorrow?

It’s Sunday.

After that practice: 1. --- What’s the date today?

talk about the picture first before listening. Next, have the Ss listen and circle the answer and get them to listen again and match the activities with

the days in 1d and check the answers Then get the Ss to fill in the blanks and retell what the conversation is about.

After that have the Ss to do 1f --- role play the conversation in pair and check some SS. Step 4. Post-listening

Sum up the expressions about making/accepting/refusing an invitation. And get the Ss to work in pairs to make conversations about making/accepting/refusing an invitation and

ask some Ss to act them out in front of the whole class.
