教学目标：

1. 知识目标：

阅读文章，读懂文章，完成阅读任务；模仿文章内字词句，用自己的话描述喜欢的卡通角色。

2. 能力目标：

掌握听力和阅读技巧，学会分析文本，并模仿文本结构，用自己的话表达对于喜爱事物的看法。

3. 情感目标：爱我们的文化，让我们中国传统文化走出国门走向世界。

教学重点：完全解读文本并用自己的话表达自己的喜好及见解。

教学难点：文化差异及年代差异导致学生对文本所涉及的内容不是特别了解；其次，初二上学期的学生在语言知识储备不足的情况下对于表达自己的喜好和看法存在困难。

教学设备及方法：多媒体，任务型教学法

教学过程：

Lead-in



Show students a picture, tell them the whole class will have a trip to Disneyland. Then show them a video and lead students to guess the guides today. II.

Understanding the text

1. Introduce the background information 

Walt Disney 

the Hollywood Walk of Fame

2. Ask students to read the text and work with their partners to find out the main structure and details covered in the text. 

Let students read the passage, then match the main ideas with each paragraph on the worksheet.(activity 1) 

Listen then read Paragraph 1, and finish activity 2--- gap filling 

Read Paragraph 2 and 3, finish activity 3

Post-Reading

1. Students work in groups and choose one Chinese cartoon character that they like for the Fun Park, discuss first then write down what they think of it. 2. Choose some of them to read and share their ideas with the whole class. 3. Make a conclusion: I hope that more and more Chinese characters can go out of our country to the world. 4. Homework: 1) Finish the article which isn’t finished in class and show it in the next class. Alternative homework: 1) Finish 3a on Page 39. 2) Make a dubbing show about two famous Disney cartoons about Chinese culture on weekends, and present them in the next class.
