Part One: Analysis of the teaching materials

1. Status and functions The topic of unit 5 is mainly talking about TV shows. Language skill and knowledge are designed by this .This kind of topic is related to our daily life, so it is helpful to raise leaning interest of students. This can make students learn English happily. 2. Teaching aims and demands

(1) Knowledge objects Learn to talk about the kinds of TV shows and their preferences. Master the grammar:infinitives used as objects. (2) Moral objects

Learn to express preferences and make plans. 3. Teaching key points and difficult points (1) Key points: Master the grammar infinitives used as objects; Learn to talk about preferences. (2) Difficult points: infinitives used as objects. Part Two: Analysis of the students

Students have learnt English for eight years, so most of them can understand many words and sentences clearly. They have great interest in English now.

Part three: Teaching methods and aids

1. Teaching methods: Task-based teaching method; Situational language teaching; Communication teaching method

2. Teaching aids: Multi-media and blackboard

Part four: Teaching procedures Step I. Warming-up Let students enjoy a video about different kinds of TV shows, then guess the TV shows to lead in the new lesson and train students’ interest.

Make a conversation using some structures about infinitives. 2.

Look at a micro class to know more about infinitives. Step III. While-grammar

Read Grammar together,then let students find out important language points and explain them. 2.

Using formula in verse to remember some words about infinitives used as objects.

There are four apples on the tree. In each apple there is a question. Each group can choose one apple, if their answers are right, they will get points according to the marks.
