Teaching objectives Knowledge objectives：

1.Ss will be able to use some vocabulary (pepper, lettuce… ) to describe their favorite food of their hometown.

2.Ss will be able to use the imperative sentence correctly when they cook food. 3.Consolidate how to correctly use connective words to describe their favorite food in this unit. Ability objectives: 1. Ss will be able to fill in blanks with the key words of this unit. 2. Ss will be able to write instructions for their favorite food. 3.Ss will be able to write a passage about their favorite food.

Moral objectives: Ss will learn to express love to their hometown and family and realize it’s helpful for them to have a healthy diet habit.

Teaching key points: 1. Ss will be able to learn how to describe a process of food with connective words: First...Next... Then...Finally. Teaching difficulties:1. Ss will be able to learn how to use the key words and key structures to describe some simple food production process. 2. Ss will be able to know how to enable students to write a recipe more fluently by using the linking words.

本课是《义务教育课程标准实验教科书.英语》（人民教育出版社）八年级上册第八单元How do you make a banana milk shake? Section(3a-3c ), 本单元的中心话题是学习询问和描述一种食物的制作过程，本课是本单元的写作板块。活动3a是有关云南（过桥）米线的填空练习，同时可作为写作范例。活动3b是写前准备，先让学生思考，想出一种最喜爱的家乡特色食物，列出食材。活动3c要求学生为最喜爱的家乡特色食物写一份菜谱。3a提供范文，3b要求学生准备材料，3c落实到写，整个流程体现了学生在写作训练中需要进行锻炼的相关过程。在情感态度和跨文化交际方面，引发学生联想中国节日以及家乡的风味小吃，在语言能力上要求学生能尝试用英语介绍相关内容，旨在激发学生对家乡的热爱之情，同时体验中西饮食文化的差异。

The analysis of students：

本课的教学对象为八年级学生，这个阶段的学生思维能力发展快，好奇心强，喜欢探索新鲜事物，喜欢动手参与，也喜欢竞争，针对这些情况，在教学中让学生有更多的体验，设计简单而有趣的活动吸引学生积极参与。经过一年的新课程理念的熏陶及实践，有了初步的自主、合作、探究、实践的能力。但众所周知，八年级也是一个分化年级，特别是英语学科，两级分化容易发生，为了尽量避免，我认为在课堂上学生的参与度一定要广，争取让更多的学生开口说，本课为了激发学生的学习兴趣，我设计了生动形象的图片及视频来吸引学生的注意力，还有两人对话，四人小组，八人大组合作探究，争取让各个阶段的学生都能参与到课堂上来。
