一、Teaching aims:

1.Knowledge aims: cut up =cut into pieces, make the soup very hot, one by one, put …into… , It’s time to ….

First…Next…Then…Finally….

2. Ability aims: students can write an article with the key expressions about cooking. 3.Emotional aims: students can have fun in cooking and give thanks for their parents, so that students can help more with housework.

二、Teaching key and difficult points:

Key point: understand the key words and expressions in writing.

Difficult point: use the outline to help with writing. 三、Teaching procedures: 1. Warm up and lead in: Use a video about Chinese famous food to catch students' interests and lead in Yunnan rice noodles. 2. Writing competition: Let students write down how to make a banana milk shake and turkey in order to review some relative key expressions of writing. Also, it's good for the writing later. 3. Fun time: use food magic box to attract students' eyes and show Yunnan rice noodles.

4. Group work: 4 students a group, finish the following tasks: Task1 How many steps are there and what are they?

Task 2 Write down these steps. Task3 Group show.(one will give instructions in English, the other will cook Yunnan rice noodles.) 5. Analyze the group show and give the proper steps. 6. Exercise: fill in the blanks to finish 3a in book, and analyze the writing outline. 7.Consolidation: let students write an article about how to make tomato and egg noodles after group discussion. then after group shows, students modify them together. 8.Summary: let students to summarize what they have learned today, and ask one student to write on the blackboard.

9. Self check: finish the task of self check 1&2, then invite some students to check the right answers. 9. Homework:

1.Modify the writings after class. 2.Make some food for family. Then share with classmates
