学习目标：

1.掌握以下单词和短语sitcom/news/talk show/soap opera/game show等。

2.通过完成句子配对来识记并运用电视节目及其正确形容的表达：

I don’t mind them./ I can’t stand it.

3.通过口语小组操练来正确运用询问和讨论各类电视节目。

4.学会询问他人喜好的句型，能正确的和他人用此话题进行交流。

教学过程：

Step 1 :Lead in What’s your favorite programme? Discuss with your partner.

Step 2:New lesson Well, we’re going to learn Unit 5, Period 2.Do you want to watch a game show?

引入单元标题教师板书或课件显示：Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Period2教师询问几个学生：Do you want to watch a game show? What do you think of it?

读图，了解对话情景—地点和谈论的话题Look at the picture They are Grace and Sarah. They are talking about the TV shows. (第一步：要求学生集体放声朗读对话，并从中发现学生的生词障碍；第二步：简短讲解，学习生词。)

分角色练习对话以提升口语表达水平Please read the conversation. First I read as Grace and you read as Sarah. Then boys read

as Grace and girls read as Sarah. OK, practice in pairs.Ask 1 or 2 pairs to show the conversation.

观察总结，对本单元的语法要点进行梳理。

Let’s read Grammar Focus. Now we have five groups and discuss one question every group.(老师用汉语表述即可) 1．总结询问某人是否想看某种电视节目的句型。

2．总结询问某人对电视节的看法的句型以及作出回答的句型。

3．总结询问某人为什么喜欢看某种电视节目的句型。

Help the students and then ask the students to show their answers. 学生进行探究汇报，教师点评、补充。熟读grammar focus中句子，进一步理解目标知识点。

First let’s read the sentences in Grammar Focus together. Summarize the key sentences again. Now let’s learn how to make plans. Explain “hope to/ plan to / want to”. Students make new sentences with them. Please look at 3a. This is a conversation to make plans. Ask a student to make a conversation as an example.

Step 3 Practice: 继续针对目标语进行控制性与开放性的实践活动

Ask students to look at the conversation in 3a. Work in pairs and try to fill in the blanks. Check the answers (答案不唯一，拓展学生思维，鼓励学生展示不同的答案)

组织Pair work，学生扮演角色模仿上述会话Now try to make another conversation like 3a. Try to use the target language they learned.

看图片对话，巩固目标语言Read the sentences. Then answer the questions.

1．Does the girl plan to watch news? 2．What can the boy expect to learn from the sports shows?

针对目标语进行控制性的写作练习

Please look at 3b. Answer these questions and give answers that are true for you. Students write down their own answers. Ask several students to read their answers.

Step 4 Sum up: 1．抽查几组学生的会话表演

Do you want to watch a movie? Why do you like it? Do you hope to watch a sitcom? Why don’t you like it? Do you expect to watch the news? ... 2．教师在会话完成后询问几个学生：

Do you want/ hope/ expect/ plan to watch...? What do you think of ...? 3．(师生交流)教师在板书上添加：

I want / hope/ expect/ plan to watch... because I think ... (让学生了解怎样谈论对电视节目的看法以及制定计划) 4．用例句带学生读目标语及其答语。例：

What do you think of game shows? I love / like / don’t like / don’t mind/ can’t stand them. Do you want / hope / expect / plan to watch the news tonight? Yes, I do. I hope to find out what’s going on around the world. / No, I don’t.
