Step 1: Greeting

Step2: Lead-in

Ask Ss “what do you usually do on weekends?” Ss talk about this question. Then show pictures to Ss, Ask them to talk about this activities.

Then ask Ss to talk about what a third person does on weekends. Teach Ss the new words or phrases. After that, ask Ss to play a game. Step3:Presentation

First ask Ss to look at the picture to think about three questions:

Q1: Where are the students?

Q2: What time is it?

Q3: What’s the boy in red doing?

Then ask “Will his classmates come? What will they do?”

Next look at “1a”

First ask Ss to read the phrases together, then match with the pictures them. Check the answers. Step4 Show a picture to Ss ask: “ Can you come to my party?” Lead

out the new structure, “ Sure, I’d love to. Sorry, I can’t I have to…. I am afraid not. I’m going to….”

Next set a situation.

Christmas Day is coming. I will have a Christmas party . I want to invite you to come to my party. Can you come to my party? Ask several Ss to answer my question. After that, ask Ss to work in groups. They can add “Hello, I will have a party on…”

“I’m glad to see you. I’m sorry to hear that. What a pity! What a small party!.....”

Choose some to perform. Step5 Do listening 1) First ask Ss to read the four names. Next do listening, Check the answers. 2) Listen again. Ask Ss to fill in the chart.Check the answers.

After that ask Ss to read after the recorder. Then read the typescript together.

Give Ss three situations. Ask them to make conversations in groups.
