--- Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world. Teaching methods: Task-based teaching method, group-work teaching method Teaching steps: Step1 Revision Ask about the TV shows. Step2 Lead-in First ask students what TV shows they like. And talk about them. Step3 Role-play the conversations(2d) First ask two students to act out the conversations and then make their own conversations.

Step4 Grammar focus Read the sentences together and translate them into Chinese. And then help students to summarize the grammar. Step5 Practice (3a) First show some sentences in 3a, and ask students to fill in the blanks with the TV show words.

Keys: watch a talk show, watch a game show, want to watch, a game show, a game show. Complete the questions with the TV show words. Step6 Pair work(3b) Firstly, ask some students to say sentences using the given words. Secondly, ask others to answer. Then ask each of the students to write questions. Ask and answer with a partner. One asks, the other answers, and then ask them to give a report. Step7 A survey(3c) The teacher first ask students questions: Do you want to watch a movie? Do you hope to watch a sitcom? Do you expect to watch the news? Do you plan to watch a sports show? Some students would say like this: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. Make the survey: Ask your classmates questions and write their names in the chart. Step8 Summary
