Aims Lesson 20 What Do You Do for the Spring Type New Festival? 1. Knowledge objects a. Enable the Ss to remember the following new words: buy, clothes, clean, make dumplings, visit, family, get lucky money b. Get the Ss to be familiar with this pattern: --What do you do for the Spring Festival? --We buy new clothes. 2. Ability objects a. Enable the Ss to know what they can do for the Spring Festival. b. Develop the Ss’ skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. c. Train the students how to talk and write with the correct words. 3. Moral objects a. Arouse their interest in learning English; b. Enable the Ss to know Chinese new year is for love. It’s important to get together. In this lesson I’ll mainly use the communicative teaching method, the group-cooperate teaching method, the game teaching method and Teaching Method the task-based teaching method to cultivate students’ interests of listening, speaking, reading, writing and to develop their learning interests. Through my lesson, the Ss will improve their English skills. Learning Method They’ll use the summarizing method, the observing method, audio visual method and the exchanging method, which helps the Ss form good habit of English learning. 1.The new words: buy, clean , make, get, visit 2.The new phrases: buy new clothes, clean the room, make dumplings, get lucky money, visit our friends and family Enable the Ss to talk with the correct form.
