This lesson is from grade 8 Unit 9. It has definite difficulty. It

relates to the daily life. 五．Analyzing the students

Students are in grade 8. They have the abilities of listening and

speaking.

Step 1 Show the learning aims

The teacher shows the learning aims on PPT and explains them for students. ①

Review the words and phrases ②

Learn the expressions of dates and week ③Develop listening and speaking abilities ④

Our lives should be rich and happy. 设计意图：明确学习内容。

Step 2 Revision

The teacher shows a broken ball on PPT and students answer the

questions in the broken pieces to repair the ball. 设计意图：复习学过的知识，学生巩固单词和短语，为新课的学习

做铺垫。

Step 3 Lead in 1 1.

The teacher shows a calendar of 2019. 2.

Then the teacher shows this month - May. 3.

Next the teacher circle a week.

设计意图：从年份导入到月份，再由月份导入到周和日期，从而进

入新课1a。

Step 4 1a

The teacher shows an example of the chart in 1a. 2.

The students say the dates of other days.

设计意图：学习日期的表达。

Step 5 Making conversations -- 1c

The teacher gives the answer of a question and students think the

question and answer it. 2.

The teacher and one student give an example of the conversation.

Then other students make other questions according to the orders that

the teacher gives.

Step 6 Activity 1b

Students fill the chart using the words and phrases, today, yesterday, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, the day before yesterday, weekday and weekend according to the examples that the teacher gives. 设计意图：完成活动1b。

Step 7 Lead in 2

The teacher invite students to play tennis this evening. After the teacher’s and the students’ conversation, the teacher introduces a friend, Andy, to students. 设计意图：通过教师的邀请引出Andy邀请Vince打网球的听力。

Step 8 Listening

Listen to the tape and do the exercises in 1d and 1e. 2.

After listening, students give the answers and other students

check. Then the teacher gives the answers. 设计意图：培养学生的听力能力。

Step 9 Group work 1.

The teacher and students review the conversation according to the

tape. 2.

The teacher draws and shows the mind map on the blackboard

and PPT. 3.

Students make conversations in groups and then some students

show their conversations and other students give their opinions. 设计意图：1. 培养学生根据思维导图进行对话的能力；

2.培养学生的小组合作能力。

Step 10 Summary

The teacher shows the summaries and one student reads them. Step 11 Listening to a song

The teacher plays a song and tell students to study hard and get good

Step 12 Homework The teacher shows the homework according to different levels of

students and students take them down. 设计意图：根据学生的不同能力进行作业布置，巩固其知识，并使

其牢固知识。
