【教案背景】

本模块谈论Identifying animals.Describing people and animals.本单元谈论描述人物的形态特征。介绍中华传统文化，非物质文化遗产－－踩高跷。引导学生热爱中华传统文化，并传承它，建立责任意识和责任感。关注丑角形象，教育学生心灵美才是真正的美。这都是课标要求学生必须掌握的内容。教师要有目的地拓展学生的文化视野。通过本节课的学习学生会运用更丰富的语言对人物更细致的描述。

【教材分析】

从知识的准备上，第一单元已经介绍了各种动物的名称，学生也会用“What are they? They’re…”进行问答。上册学了“What’s this? What’s that?”有了这个基础，对本课的学习做好了铺垫；从难度上看，难度不大，学生也能学会；从应用上看，与学生的日常生活息息相关，应用价值很大。字母上学期已经学过了，所以本课的字母教学就迎刃而解了。

【教学目标】

1、能听懂会说并认读单词man、short、

tall、small、thin、big. 2、听说读写字母Aa,Bb,Cc,Dd.认读抄写单词apple, book, cat,dog. 2、感知单词重音和句子重读

3、能听懂会说并运用目标语句This man is tall.That man is short.谈论人物，并能在日常生活中实际应用。

过程与方法：

在活动中教学。让学生在玩中学，学中玩。一边学一边评价。通过播放踩高跷视频讲解高跷的由来进行中华传统文化教育。通过描述小丑进行心灵美教育。通过戴动物头饰描述动物增强学生的参与意识。通过播放课文动画，视听手段，进行情景教学。通过各种有趣的游戏操练功能句、进行单词认读训练。通过扮演小老师、击鼓传花巩固本课重点内容。通过组内调查，培养学生的团队精神和合作意识。通过一系列的游戏活动使课堂教学活动化既巩固本课知识又及时对本课知识进行检测，

同时完成本课知识的拓展运用。

情感态度与价值观：

1、乐于感知并积极尝试使用英语，乐于与他人交往。敢于开口说英语，在表达中不怕出错2、乐于了解优秀的中华传统文化，乐于传承非物质文化遗产，增强祖国意识。

三年级学生，生性活泼好动，注意时间短，思维活跃，很难集中注意力。刚接触英语对英语有浓厚的兴趣，喜欢参与角色表演，爱玩游戏，渴望表现自我，缺乏合作意识，更喜欢竞技类活动。

【教学过程】

一、Warmer 1、提出今天的学习任务。

T:Today we are going to talk about how to describe the animals and persons.After learning,we’ll play a game---Little guide at the zoo. 二、Leading in 1、播放踩高跷视频。

T:Let’s watch

a show. 指着画面中踩高跷的人们说：“He’s tall.They are tall.”指着看表演和敲鼓的人们说：“They are short.”让学生感知新单词

tall and short. T:What is the show? Ss:踩高跷T:Yes .They are walking on the stilt. 2、呈现Activity1 T:Daming and Sam are watching the stilt, too. Let’s watch . T:What’s the man like? Listen and read.He’s tall. He’s short.Teach: tall、

short Look at the picture and teach:man.Spell and read.

Compare man with boy.Man is adult.Wang Shuo is not a man.When he grows up,he will be a man. 老师出示高个男人和矮个男人图片

T:Look at the pictures .He’s tall. He’s short. 把矮个男人图片挂在黑板上，然后远离黑板。指着手中高个男人图片说：“This man is tall.”

指着远处黑板上的矮个男人图片说：“That man is short.”

Write the topic: M2U2 That man is short.

进行传统文化教育。Stilt is a traditional Chinese culture.We should like it and inherit it. This is our responsibility.

三、Presentation 1、呈现Activity2 T:Daming and Sam see two clowns in a circus.What are they like? What animal do they bring? Let’s watch a cartoon. T:What animal do they bring? Ss:Monkey. T:What’s this man like? What’s that man like? Let’s watch again and answer the questions T:What’s this monkey like?What’s that monkey like? Listen and read. 2、看电子版。Listen and read,then teach the words”small,thin,big”反复检查验证发音。

3、Listen and imitate.Pay attention to the stress and the intonation. 4、

Compare“

this man ”with“

that man”. T:Why call him this man and that man?Why call it this monkey and that monkey?提醒学生注意小丑与Daming 和Sam之间的距离，同时复习“this”和“that”在用法上的区别。

5、操练Activity2争取背诵课文。

教师拿着高男人的图片说“This man is tall.”指着黑板上矮男人的图片说“That man is short.”反复操练，用同样的方法操练This monkey is small and thin.That monkey is big and fat.再把图片发给学生进行组内操练。最后小组到台前展示。

2、给动画配音Bub the text.Watch the cartoon and bub. 3、进行美德教育。T:The clowns look very very ugly.But their hearts are very very beautiful.Because they can bring us lot’s of fun.We should learn from them and become the most beautiful children. 四、consolidation 1、复习单词。PPT呈现图片

遵循“单词带图、单词带字义、单词、扩展单词抢答”这样一个循序渐进的过程。

2、Complete Activity3用所学单词描述熊猫的形态。

3、用“this”和“that”描述动物的形态。PPT呈现图片

4、Complete Activity5 Play a game.Wear masks and describe animals.This panda is fat.That panda is thin. T: What’s in my box?Guess. What’s your favourie animal?Ss:My favourite animal is...学生一边回答一边把头饰领走。然后小组内练习。

5、Complete Activity4.Sing the song“Old MacDonald has a zoo.”

6、Complete Activity6 Teach the letters and the words. Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd,apple, book, cat,dog. 7、Act and guess. 把以前学的相关知识整合到本课堂。

Take an animal card.Ask two students to come to the front and act. The others guess. T: What are they? Ss: They’re….Ss.They’re big....... 学生扮演小老师继续做游戏。

五、Conduction

完成本节课的运用任务。展示动物园小导游活动。通过击鼓传花来检查小组完成情况Pass the toy,clap and say “tall and short”

for four times.再换成“big and small”,“fat and thin”

六、小结并介绍中华传统文化——踩高跷。有时间的话还可以讲一讲高跷的由来。让学生喜爱高跷并传承它。

七、Homework 1、收集动物图片，制作“动物乐园”并描述动物的形态特征。

2、用本课所学知识描述家人和朋友

2、搜集材料调查在哪儿能找到丑角及小丑的形象。
