片段一:目标的制定

1.知识与技能:学生能四会掌握“thief”;能理解lost的格式和内容;能结合图片和文字理解故事并完成配音和复述的任务。培养学生在听和读的过程中抓住关键信息的能力和综合运用语言的能力。

2.过程与方法:学生在理解故事的过程中能结合上下文及生活经验猜测词、句的意思;能根据要求找到相应的信息并进行整理,形成阅读策略。

3.情感、态度与价值观:让学生在理解故事的过程中体会阅读的趣味。初步感受美国西部牛仔的生活。

片段二:Warm up.

激发兴趣,谈论收藏,

交待背景。

1. Free talk: What do you collect? T:Today we are learning Unit 4 What do you collect? Let me see, what do you collect? Ss: I collect …

T: I have a wonderful collection too. Do you want to know it? 呈现各种英文书和卡通碟,

I collect English books, cartoons, newspapers and stickers. Today we have 3 tasks. If you can finish them, I’ll give it to you. The best group will have a big prize. T: When I was a child, children collected (课件呈现)transformer pictures, marbles, bows and comics…many people collect other special things: they collect stones, keys, match boxes and Olympic pins. Our old friend Joe is a cowboy, what does he collect? Let’s go to the Puma Ranch again. 2. Introduce the background.

T: 课件演示并介绍:

This is America, and this is the west of America. The field is wide, we can see the mountains and the rivers. 200 years ago, the Indians are living here, then a large group of cowboys are coming, they want to get the money. They are wearing jeans, boots and cowboy hats. They can ride horses, they look so cool. This is the Puma Ranch. They are Joe and Sarah. What’s the new story on the Puma Ranch? 片段三:Presentation. (1) 第一遍听, 让学生看图片,听纯英文故事。感知大意,进行听力训练。

There is a town near the Puma Ranch. In town, there is a clothes shop. What other things? S: dress. T: there are many wonderful dresses in the shop. T: What does Joe collect? S: He collects hats. T: Today, our story is about Joe’s hat.

(2) 第二遍听, 让学生看书,听故事。

a. Task 1: Read and number.

T: Listen again. Read and number. What happened to Joe’s hat? (呈现任务1.)

( ) Joe can’t find his hat.

( ) Sarah finds the hat. ( ) Sarah has got an idea. ( ) Sarah gives the hat to Joe. ( ) Joe gives Sarah $100. b. Answer and check. T: What happened to Joe’s hat? S: (按顺序读出这一段话,回答问题。) T:(出示正确答案)。Yes?

c. Conclusion. T: Joe can’t find his hat. Sarah has got an idea and she finds it.(板书:can’t find, find)

理解故事,体会乐趣,

习得策略。

(1) The lost.失物招领。

a. 呈现失物招领。

T: Listen, what is Joe doing? 出示图7. He is putting up the lost. 图6. b. 理解lost的作用。

T: When you can’t find something, you should write lost. Here is the lost. 课件呈现各种lost. c. 理解lost的意义。

T: Let’s read Joe’s lost.

l Theme. T: Catch the thief. – This is the theme. He uses the capital letters and put it in the middle of the first line. It’s very clear. Look, the theme.

l Content. T: This is the content; it’s a very important part of the lost. Can you read? l Contact. T: let’s read this part together.

Ss: Joe Puma Ranch T: this is the contact, Joe lived in 200 years ago, but now, we usually write down the telephone number. l T: Here is a new word. Can you read the word? Thief. (教读词语) Thief. Th /θ/ thief. 课件出示含有相同读音的几个词帮助学生记忆。

T: What is a thief? Read picture 1 to 6, Find some key sentences about the ‘thief’, underline.

S1: A thief, a thief, my black hat is gone! T: This is a key sentence(评价), any more?

T: Who is the thief? Ss: Sarah. Conclusion: According to the question, we find the key information and make them up. This is a good method. c. Task 2: A story show. 复述。

T: Let’s have a story show. It’s a little difficult.

l At first, can you fill in the blanks? I ________ a new dress, but Joe says, ‘we ________ the money.’ I put ________ into Brownie’s house. Joe can’t find it, he cries. 回归整体,升华理解,体验情感。

a. 揭示课题Joe’s favourite hat.

T: What do you think of Joe? S: He likes his hats. That hat is his favourite hat. T: How does he like his favourite hat? Can you find the key sentences and read like Joe? S1,2,3,…(读Joe的话) T: Let’s read with Joe together.(出示所有的图片和语言,跟读) T:What do you think of Sarah? 学生如何认识,可以不去纠正,但老师认为是a white lie. T: So the story is .(出示课题) Ss: Joe’s favourite hat.

b. 完成任务。

T: Let’s have a dub show. (出示Task3: A dub show.) I want to be Sarah. Who want to be Joe? 师生示范。要求学生读出Sarah的狡猾,从容,Joe对他的收藏的爱。

T: Who do you want to be? Choose your favourite part and dub.(时间要保证,学生自己演练他们最喜爱的片段,然后展示即可。)

Ss: (两组展示。)可供选择的分成了三个部分:1-3;4-6;8-11. The end. Sarah tells Joe a white lie. White lie helps people to enjoy the life. In their life, there are many other wonderful stories, we’ll go to the Puma Ranch.
