Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? 教材分析：

本单元的话题是娱乐活动，谈论不同类型的电视节目或电影的看法与偏好和制定计划。Section A 部分的重点是学习几种电视节目类的名称，掌握谈论喜好的句型，以及初步建立动词不定式的意识。动词不定式是学生学习的难点，因为在汉语中，两个动词可以直接放在一起，英语则需要根据动词在句中所起的作用，采用不同的动词形式。Section B的重点是学习和运用恰当的形容词进一步表达喜欢和不喜欢某种电视节目和电影的原因。本部分的难点是阅读和写作。阅读语篇中涉及一些美国文化，还涉及一些长句以及语义的深层表达，需要学生具备一定的文化知识，并在文章上下文语境中体会语言表达的真实含义。本单元的写作内容为影评，学生在使用本单元目标语言的基础上，还需要一些语言储备。在介绍电影情节、演员等信息时，需要教师给予更多的语言帮助。

Section A 1 (1a-1c) 一、教学目标：

1. 知识与能力：

1) 能掌握以下单词：news, sitcom, soap opera, stand, mind, plan

2）能用以下句型来谈论偏好和谈论计划安排：

2.过程与方法：先学生自有谈话说出电视节目类型，用图片引入更多节目类型并教生词。询问学生们对电视节目的看法引导学生如何表达偏好。学生完成听力任务，然后口语练习谈论偏好和谈论计划安排。

3. 情感态度价值观目标：

了解各类电视和电视节目的名称和自己的喜欢。尊重别人的喜好，培养谦让，

分享的品质。

三、教学过程

step1. Lead-in 【学习引导】

Ask students :Do you like watching TV? What kinds of TV shows do you know?

学生回答。展示更多图片让学生学习各类电视节目的单词。

Step2.New words

Students learn the names of the TV shows.

Step 3. 1a 1). 引导学生们看1a中的图片，根据提示依次说出每一部TV Show的名称。

2). 让学生们看图片及1a中的词汇，将图片与正确的词汇相连。

3).Ask some students to give their answers.and let them give their reasons. Check the answers with the Ss.

Step4.Talk about the conversation in the picture in 1a. Show more pictures to present:What do you think of ....? and its answers.

Step 5. Listening

1. T: Tell Ss read the shows in the box. Make sure they know the meaning of the shows.

2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the shows1-4.

3. Ask some students to give their answers. Check the answers with the Ss.

4.Play the recording again.and answer some questions. 1).What does Mark plan to do tonight?

2).What does Jack think of talk shows? 3).What does Jack think of talent shows? 4).Does Mark want to watch the soccer game at 5:00?how about Jack? 5.Ask some students to give their answers. Check the answers with the Ss. 6. Ask Ss to read the listening materials . Step6 . Pair work 1. Let Ss look at the pictures in the box. Then explain the meaning of each expression to the Ss.

2. Let Ss read the conversation after the teacher. Then let Ss make their own conversation using the shows and expressions in the box.

3. Let some pairs talk in class..
