T:Yesterday we learned Thanksgiving, a special day in the United States, and the main dish for a Thanksgiving dinner—turkey. Today we’ll focus on a traditional food in China—Yunnan Rice Noodles. Let’s find out how they’re made together.

1.Now class, let’s work on 3a.It’s the recipe for a famous traditional food in China—Yunnan Rice Noodles.

2. Ask one student to read the instructions and the words in the box to the class.

3. Ss look through the recipe. Skip the blanks when reading. Then fill in the blanks with the words in the box.

4. Ask one student to give his or her answers.

5.Check the answers.(见课件)

6. Practice reading.

1. Ask Ss to think of a favorite food in their hometowns. Think about how to make it. Then make a list of ingredients. Write them on the blank lines in the box.

2. Ask several students to read their results.

1. Writing practice. Write a recipe for your favorite food. Use 3a and 3b to help you.

2. Ask 2 or 3 Ss to present their results.

3. Correct their recipes if there are some mistakes in writing.

1. T: Now we have learned much about the favorite food in your hometowns. It’s time to make your own special food. Use your imagination wildly, and it can be crazy.

2. Make up a crazy recipe with your partner following the example sentences. Then tell another pair of Ss how to make this crazy food. The other pair will draw it.

3. Ask some groups to show their pictures and describe them to the class.
