S: Yes, but still a little nervous. T: Don’t worry about it. Yesterday we learnt Thanksgiving，a special day in the United States，and the main dish for a Thanksgiving dinner—turkey. Now let me play a piece of video of making something, after that please guess what this lesson is about? S1: It may be about making dumplings. S2: About food. S3: … T: That’s right. Today we’ll talk about the food you like best and the ingredients we need. Let's focus on a traditional food in China—Yunnan Rice Noodles. What’s more? We’ll learn to write a recipe for your favorite food, at the same time learn to describe the process of making something.

Pre－task (Page 63，3a). 1．Call students' attention to 3a..It's the recipe for a famous traditional food in China—Yunnan Rice Noodles. 2．Ask students to read the instructions and the words in the box together. 3.explain the words in the box about part of speech、usage、pronunciation and so on. 3．Ask Ss to look through the recipe. Skip the blanks when reading. Then ask

them to pick up an apple to put on the blank lines 4．Ask one student to give his or her answers. 5. Check the answers. 6. Practice reading in chorus. Step 4

While－task (Page 63，3b & 3c.) 1．Read the instructions to the class. 2．Ss each think of a favorite food in our hometown.The first food that comes to mind is Hand Grab Mutton in our hometown .Think how to make it. Then make a list of

ingredients: Mutton、Salt、Relish、Seasoning. Write them on the blank lines in the box. 3．Turn to 3c.Writing practice. Discuss with your partners and write a recipe for your favorite food-Hand Grab Mutton using the words “First/Next/Then/Finall.”. At the same time, play a game: make up recipe that you make Hand grab Mutton（手抓羊肉） with your partner in groups. Each of you have one part of it. All of You should put them together in right order, use packaging tape（胶带） to glue （粘）them. Then put it up the blackboard, who first, who win.

5．Correct their recipes if there are some mistakes in writing. Give them scores. Step 4

1．Call attention to Part 4.Read the instructions to the class. 2．Group-work：Divide Ss into groups of 4.Pairwork：Make up a crazy recipe of making dumplings :First，mix the flour （面粉）with water to be ready for the dough

（面团）. Then, make dumpling wrappers（饺子皮） and filling（饺子馅）. Next , put the fillings in the middle of a wrappings and press the wrapping tight. Next , boil for about three minutes and put them in a bowl or plate . Finally, taste those delicious foods. Tell another pair of Ss how to make dumplings. The other pair act out how to make it.
