The analysis of the materials

This unit describes TV shows, which is close to our daily life. And there are some words and structures we learned before. What’s more, the topic can attract students’ interest easily. Ⅲ. The analysis of the teaching conditions

For Grade Eight students, they mastered some words, which can help them to talk about different kinds of TV shows. What’s more, a lot of students like watching TV. They are familiar with this topic. So it’s not difficult to learn this unit.

Show two pictures about soap operas and one smile face T: This kind of TV show is soap operas. In my opinion, I like them. (Ask one student: What do you think of soap operas? Point the sentence "I like them") S: I like them.

(Invite two students to make the conversation) Ask: What do you think of soap operas? Answer: I like them. (Show the rest pictures of TV shows, and do the same activities above) Step 3 Practice

1. Play an interesting game in pairs T: Just now, we learned some different TV shows, and we also knew the conversation. Now, let's do some interesting activities. Here are some cards, some TV shows and faces on them. Each time, I will you two cards. I need two students to make the conversation. Then, I will give you two a surprise.
