A story----Joe’s favorite hat The teaching procedures: StepⅠ Warm-up Greeting and sing a song : Stickers
T: From the poem ,we know the girl likes her horse very much. She collects photos of her horse . She has got a big box full of photos of her horse. T: In our English books, there are many beautiful pictures. I collect some of them.
Do you want to have a look? (Show the pictures of Joe) T: Who’s in the pictures?
Where is he from? Show a map, introduce Joe .Joe is from the west of America. There are many fields and cowboys. They wear boots, jeans and cowboy hats. They can ride horses. They are so cool. Joe is one of them. A、lead in. In every picture, Joe is wearing a hat. Because Joe likes hats. He has many hats of different colors .

C、Expected results Today we’re going to learn a story about “Joe’s favorite hat”.

T: Sarah buys a new dress, so she is happy ,but Joe finds his favourite hat .he is still crying. What do you think of Joe? Like hats. Like crying.
He is a coward(懦弱) and a mean man(小气).then what do you think of Sarah? She is very clever. She is very calm. So boys and girls ,in our life ,if you have the problem ,you should calm and use your brain and find a good idea ,or find another way to deal with it, then we are happy in our life.
Step Ⅲ Test and production Let’s have a show. To be Joe or Sarah, choose your favourite part. Homework. 1. Retell the story after the class. 2. Act the story with your friends.
