本节课是小学英语冀教版三年级起始版五年级上册第二单元第八课，本单元就是让学生了解五个国家，本课重点是了解加拿大的有关知识，本节课让学生掌握的重点单词有Canada,know,English,French,还要让学生认识两个著名的景点Niagara Falls,Rocky Mountains，并且能灵活运用2句话What do they speak? What’s the capital city of Canada?,以及让同学们认识加拿大的地图和国旗。

根据本课的需要，我设计了五个环节，首先让同学个通过课件来初步了解加拿大，并且引出加拿大这个单词，然后让同学们通过网络来自主学习。首先，通过点击map来了解加拿大的地图，然后通过找地图的小游戏来检验孩子们的学习成果。接着，让孩子们自主学习来了解加拿大的语言，然后通过小组比赛的环节来练习重点句型并且汇报孩子们的学习成果。之后，再次让了同学们通过网络自让探究了解加拿大的首都以及国旗，并且借助于小组练习，practise in pairs,draw Canada’s flag,show the students’ picturess环节，来检验孩子们学习成果以及激发学生的学习兴趣，最后再次进入网络学习，来了解有关加拿大更多的知识，包括他们的饮食，运动，学校，节日，歌曲等，然后通过一个小练习来汇报学习成果。最后设计一个拓展环节，让孩子们来了解更多的国家。

媒体设计思路

网络环境下的英语学习适合于学生进行“自主发现、自主探索”的学习。当然，前提是老师必须针对各类学生的学习英语的特点和年龄特征研制小学课程网页，在课前和课后指导学生根据自己的实际情况进行在线发展性学习或补救性学习。这时，学生才是真正的主人。

本堂课，我们通过网络学习来了解有关加拿大的知识，本网站我们共分七个部分。在教学开始，我们通过一个短片来了解加拿大，并且引出本课主题Canada,然后我问孩子们Do you want to go on a trip to Canada?孩子们跃跃欲试，这时候我引领孩子们进入网站学习板块，他们可以通过网站来了解加拿大的地图，语言，首都，国旗，食物，运动，学校，节日等各个他们感兴趣的内容。

在这时，教师是教学的中心，充分让孩子们体验自主学习。在教学过程中要处理好传授知识与培养能力的关系、注重培养学生的独立性和自主性，引导学生质疑、调查、探究，在实践中学习，使学习成为在教师指导下主动的、富有个性的过程。教师应尊重学生的人格，关注个体差异，满足不同需要，创设能引导学生主动参与的教育环境，激发学生的积极性，培养学生掌握和运用知识的态度和能力，使每个学生都能得到充分的发展。

在网络环境下英语教学的课堂可以无限延伸，使他们在英语学习中的主体得到最大限度的发挥，充分促进其综合运用英语能力的形成。本堂课，我们了解了有关加拿大的知识以外，又让孩子们通过点击other countries这一板块，来了解他们喜欢的国家。
