【教材理解】本单元进一步扩展与旅行相关的知识、语言和技能。Jenny和Danny 来到了中国，对中国的景点、节日和文化都有了一定的了解。本课是本单元的第二课，主要内容是李明向他们介绍中国最重大的节日春节，所以容易引起学生的兴趣，在教学中也容易产生共鸣和互动。通过本课的学习，不仅能增进学生对传统文化的认识，还能培养学生交流文化的能力。

【设计理念】我在进行本课的教学设计时，深入研究教材，结合<<英语新课程标准>>，通过多样的教学形式,努力倡导学生的积极参与,让学生在学习过程中促进语言实际运用的能力。在教学过程中，通过设置问题让学生思考并解决，培养学生学习的积极性和主动性，同时注重让学生进行师生，生生合作讨论，加强学生间的团结与协作，强化学生与他人合成的意识。还通过课文、口语练习和听、读、写、观察和游戏、表演活动，学生能够探究他们的思想、感觉及周围环境。同时，学生能够发现和拓展他们的知识和使用英语的能力。

【学情简介】五年级学生已经掌握了一定的英语学习技能，形成了一定的综合语言运用能力，对英语也有了持续的兴趣和爱好。学生将会有浓重的兴趣来学习本课，本课的重点词汇和句子学生会掌握较好。但仍要注意学困生生疏词汇读起来仍会存在障碍。

【教学目标】

（一）知识与技能目标：

1. 能听懂、会说、认读和书写词汇：room, door, window, make, kid。

2. 能理解并运用句型what do you do for the Spring Festival? （二）情感态度目标：

1.通过对中国传统节日春节的学习，使学生感觉到传统文化的底蕴，激发学生对传统节日的热爱。

2.激发学生学习英语的兴趣，调动学习积极性，引导学生积极与他人合作，在活动中培养学生的协作能力。

（三）学习策略目标：

通过小组合作、讨论，培养学生英语思维及团结互助学习的习惯。

在操练中运用句型what do you do for the Spring Festival? 能够用自己的语言描述春节及所做事情。

S: The Spring Festival is in January or February. T: Do you like the Spring Festival? Today we are going to learn Lesson20 The Spring Festival Is Coming! 设计意图：通过简单的问候复习以前学习的节日引入英语课堂，不仅拉近了师生关系，复习了以前所学，还为下面的学习做好了充分的知识储备，提供了丰富的语言信息。

Step 2: New Concepts 1. Jenny and Danny arrived in China, They will stay two days with LiMing’s family for the Spring Festival. They want to know about the Spring Festival. Let’ go to LiMing’s home. Now listen and answer: What do they do for the Spring Festival? 设计意图：课堂开始，让学生有目的有思维性的“听”，输入本课所学内容。

2. Talk in groups and check your answer. 学生回答依次出示图片介绍buy new clothes. clean rooms(做动作介绍clean the door，the window and the floor), make dumplings（介绍make组成的其他词组make friends、make a paper plane、made in China）, visit family

and friends and get lucky money。 对比介绍字母oo不同发音，介绍发音规则. room school wood food cool zoo too book cook look took good wood foot 设计意图：小组内讨论完成，降低了难度，让学困生能得到其他孩子的帮助，能逻辑性、总结性的

“说”，并且直接感受到春节的美好。渗透发音规则，让孩子收获自己读出单词时的快乐，掌握学习的方法。

3.幻灯片出示过年做的其他事情：set off firecrackers放鞭炮、paste spring couplets 贴春联、have a family dinner 家庭聚餐、 hang a lantern 挂灯笼。

设计意图：拓展介绍一些春节要做的其他事情，从课本走进生活，调动孩子们的学习兴趣。

4.提示孩子新年放鞭炮，是上千年的春节习俗，但我们还小，一定在父母的陪伴下，要遵守政府的规定，在指定地点规定时间燃放烟花爆竹，过一个快乐的春节！

5. T: We know many about the Spring Festival. Do you know when the Spring Festival is this year? It’s on February 16 介绍中国的春节。The Spring Festival is the Chinese New Year. It’s on the first day of a year on the lunar calendar. 设计意图:补充介绍中国春节与新年的不同，让他们知道春节是阴历新年的第一天，联系到实际生活之中。

6. Let’s chant. What do you do for the Spring Festival? Make, make, make dumplings. Clean, clean, clean our rooms. Get, get, get lucky money. Buy, buy, buy new clothes. Visit, visit, visit our family. Happy, happy, we all very happy! 设计意图：利用通过chant朗朗的节奏，学生边做动作边朗读，既复习了知

识，起到巩固强化的作用，又极大程度调动了学生的学习积极性。

Step 3: Practice and Extension 1. Read and match. 设计意图：看图片，找出与之匹配的句子，这是对前面学习的一个检查与巩固。

3.Now you are the messenger of the Spring Festival, draw a picture ad say something about it. Introduce the Spring Festival to the world. 设计意图：通过此项活动，不仅达到让学生操练新知的目的，更让学生充分利用语言，开拓思维。

4.拓展故事 The story of Nian. 设计意图：故事介绍了年的有来，又给春节增添了神秘的色彩，让孩子们对春节更加感兴趣，也更加热爱。

Step4: Class Closing Homework：

与其他孩子交换自己得到的信息，促进他们的沟通。
