Module2unit2 That man is short.

教学内容:

本课是第二模块第二单元,本课的教学内容是,Daming, , Sam 在马戏团遇到了两个小丑和猴子。在语言点上,主要以句型This/That….istall\short\small\big.为重点,结合以前学过的句型What’s this ? What’s that?让同学们感受this\that 远近方面的区别。

教学目标:

1.知识目标:

(1)全体学生能理解词汇:small\big\,tall,\short\thin ,man

(2)全体学生能初步运用词汇:small,big, short, tall .部分运用man,thin。

(3) 全体学生能初步运用This/That…….is talll/short/big/small.

2.能力目标:

(1)培养学生小组协作学习的能力。

(2)培养学生竞争意识,在竞争中进步。

(3)培养学生听、说、认、读、做综合运用语言能力。

3.情感目标:

(1)通过交流与合作,培养学生的互助精神与合作能力。

(2)鼓励和培养学生学会自主探究学习。

(3)让学生获取成功体验,增强自信心。

教学重点

A听说读三会掌握单词man(男人)、short(矮的)、tall(高的)、small(小的)、thin(瘦的)、big(大的)

B掌握语言:This man is tall. That man is short.

教学难点

掌握语言:This monkey is small and thin. That monkey is big and fat.

在日常对话中能正确运用句型What are they?并做出正确回答.

教学方法:直观教学法,听说教学法,游戏教学法

教学准备:动物图片,ppt课件, 计算机

教学过程:

Step1 Warming- up 3’

1. Enjoy a song. Old Macdonald Has a Zoo.(课前一首歌)

(意图:复习动物名称及进一步了解中英语中动物叫声的不同。)

2. Greetings.

3. Review: What’s this / that?----- It’s a tiger

( 意图:复习动物及this 和that 区别,并引出big ,small.)

4. Task- presentation: 制作自己心中动物园

Step2 Lead- in 5’

1)T: You did well. Where are Sam and Daming?

S: school\classroom ……

T: Oh, they met a stranger. How’s he? Let’s see.

(看第一部分)

2)T: How’s he? (他怎么样?) Let’s listen and draw key words.(找关键词) T\S: Look, he’s tall. Now he’s short.

(意图:通过引导让学生自己根据听到的说出生词,锻炼孩子准确听的能力。) 3)T: 教学生词步骤:1)T教: tall: all- tall short: sh- short 并师生比身高做示范。2)学生小组内并选词拼读。3)T提问。

4)T: 他一会高,一会矮。Why ? S:(踩高挑)

T: yeah,That’s a traditional Chinese game.

Step3 Presentation 16’

1、T: Where are they now? They’re at a circus. They met two clowns and two monkeys. How are they? Let’s see.

S: 看课文第二部分视频

2、T:How are they? Let’s listen again and circle the key words.

S: 听录音,并圈生词.

T\S 检查关键词,并学习生词。

(生词学习过程中,学生拼读生词,教师注意引导学生自己读出生词,还要注意引导学生边做动作边练说生词。)

(意图:通过关注学习生词策略,引导学生科学记忆生词。如:small:

all-mall-small )

T: (出示图片)How are they? Using “This ……is tall\short\big\small\fat\thin . That ……is tall\short\big\small\fat\thin .”

S: 看相关图片回答。

3、Listen and repeat2 times.

( 听音跟读前,注意引导学生关注语音语调。听读过程中,关注重难句的个别练习。)

4、T:(出示课文)Read and do.(引导学生边读,边根据主人公特点做动作。) (意图:通过这项活动,引导学生对课文内容的进一步理解。)

Step4 Practice 8’

1. Let’s rhyme.

(意图:通过学生趣味闪词游戏,引导学生有效复习所学生词。)

2、How are they?

(意图:通过出示几组有比较的动物图片,学生复习How are they? 并用所学描述差异,进一步巩固本课所学。)

3、How are pandas? (课本练习3)

1)Look and match.(关键词与相应图片连线。)

2)T\S 齐描述Picture 1

3)Students in groups talk about Picture2 and picture3.

4) Ss show them.

(意图:通过分步练习,让学生的操练更具实效性。)

4、思想教育:Animals make our life colorful, Let’s protect them, Here are some people who try to protect animals. Can you read them? (出示一些动物保护组织的英语缩略词,让学生试读。)

(意图:通过缩略词的出示,引导学生更好了解保护动物的重要性,并更好练习字母。)

5、Enjoy a song. Old Macdonald Has A Zoo.

Letters game.

(意图:通过字母名字及读音和单词的结合,学习字母。)

Step6 Production 4’

组建动物乐园

1) Teacher 出示已经已完成的自己动物乐园,边介绍:They ‘re …(monkeys) They ‘re….. This is a monkey. It’s ……

2) 小组完成乐园组建:学生出示准备好的动物粘贴图,边粘贴在规定的区域,边描述This…is ….

3) 小组内介绍:They ‘re …(monkeys) They s ……

4) 展示。
